    An enjoyable Indian-American film, upbeat and interesting from start to finish, though lacking in the discomforting elements that partially account for Monsoon Wedding's superiority in the eyes of critics.

    A pleasant surprise! The movie shows lot of maturity, subtle and gentle humor, warmth - a very watchable movie!

    Likeable, credible actors, snappy dialogue and a determinedly upbeat tone should work well on cable and score with Indian diaspora auds. But pic lacks density and spontaneity necessary to lift it out of its carefully posed and plotted set-ups and onto a bigscreen.
