MarcoD.Apr 3, 20019I was told to watch this movie in preparation for giving the "best man" speech at my friend's wedding -- what a great recommendation! This movie is fantastic. By far Andie McDowell's best movie, and Hugh Grant's shtick is excellent. A wonderful friendship movie, as well.

YoonMinC.Sep 27, 20037Rudimentary comedy drama, good but utterly forgettable. Who got married by the way?

Apr 5, 20125I didn't enjoy it much...to me it is overrated. The plot is weak...it is not credible, and Andie McDowell performance was sooo dull! Perhaps another actress would have transmitted more emotion! Just a 5 because it is almost below mediocre. I wouldn't watch it again!

60Maybe you'll enjoy it, but don't expect to remember it ten minutes later, or even to believe in the characters while you're watching them.

70Screenwriter Richad Curtis (writer of the English "Blackadder" series) and director Mike Newell (who made "Enchanted April") keep things lively and entertaining; each wedding is garnished with its own distinctive mood and dramatic significance.

88A better film about love delayed than "Sleepless in Seattle." It's funnier, more credible, more bittersweet and the characters are a whole lot brighter. Naturally, it won't be as big a hit. [18 March 1994, Friday, p.C]
