Both deeply weird and charmingly dear.
  2. A hoot, or at least a collection of delightful hootlets hung on a short, frayed line.
  3. Fresh and often very funny, and it makes its point that when our native urges conflict with social norms, the former shall give in to the latter, or else.
  4. In truth, I didn't care much for it, while respecting it a great deal. It's self-consciously childish and "innocent," and everything is overdrawn to cartoon dimension.
  5. Every single frame of this film is as cute, slick, and snappy as the adorable little mice who end the movie with a gag right out of "Babe: Pig in the City."
  6. The movie never gets off the ground. Kaufman's script is never especially clever and often is rather pretentious.

It's hard to describe this movie without spoiling it, however i can say that if you only like serious movies then you might not like this. This movie is the worst of Kaufman's movies, but it is still better than most movies out there. Expand

I love Charlie Kaufman movies (even Synecdoche, New York) however, I thought this was too clever for it's own good.Rhys Ifans is the best part of the movie. This movie is almost always intriguing, whether it's character interaction, dialogue or just something visually amusing. However, there were a lot of slow spots and by the end, I felt like it was kind of a pointless movie unlike his other works, Forgettable, but not bad. Expand
