Premise is formulaic and execution is predictable, but Brock maintains a lively pace while eliciting first-rate work from thesps.

A thoroughly enjoyable movie. The story with its oddball characters set in the middle of Missouri is fresh and moves at a lively pace. I only wish there was more time given over to many of the characters. All the characters seem to have depth, but you only catch a glimpse of their histories. A car thief, an autistic savant who drives around in a make-believe Plymouth, his junkyard father, some guy that lives in a closet, the other residents of the halfway house....you know there is more to them than is presented in the film, but you only see what contributes to the storyline. The music is good too! Expand
