I give this movie eight not because it is a great movie but because it's not ashamed of being what it is a dumb-ass buddy movie with silly humour and equally silly actiopn. Martin lawrence well is being Martin Lawrence as one would expect, and lets face it this was 100 times better than Black Knight. FUN but certainly not art!!!!

NS is above average. I was surprised that I actually laughed some during the movie (Marting Lawrence has totally sucked lately), and the police brutality actually makes for pretty funny stuff. Of course, it wouldn't be an action movie without action, and NS kicks butt in this respect. The stunts are AWESOME! Oh my GOD! It all just screams cool, and the fights are especially cool NS is above average. Go see it when it's nice and cheap. Expand

Everyone should know what you get from a Martin Lawrence movie: It's funny, he acts like a crazy fool a lot, and you forget it as soon as you leave the theater. That's not a bad thing at all! Zahn is funny too and there are some very hot chicks thrown in. No nudity, which lowers the rating, but there's also hardly any blood, which is commendable for an action movie. It doesn't do anything truly wrong, but geez it's still far from being good. I had only one recurring thought while watching this bomb: yawn! And I did. Often. To his credit, Lawrence does his best but he spends most of the film attempting a reprisal of his Bad Boys character, but with a script that obviously doesn't know who that character is. Zahn meanwhile just looks plain lost. The directing is credible in the action sequences (the soda factory shootout is great) but when the bullets aren't flying it looks and feels like what it truly is: a b-grade movie. The dialogue never gives anything else a chance. It offers nothing new and even manages to insult those which came before it, action/comedy predecessors it should be salutating instead. The only part of the dialogue I liked, and thankfully I got to hear it 3 or 4 times, is Lawrence quipping, "What da problem is?" But that alone was not satisfying enough...best to just avoid this one! Expand

It's aggravating racist controlled premise is worn within the first ten minutes of the film, but overall is mostly covered by the quality performances of Zahn and Lawrence.

It's too bad Martin already made “What's the Worst That Could Happen?” The title really fits this one.
  2. Entertaining and well done. Without losing its comic rhythm for a moment, it is also a withering spoof of black victimism and the corrupting effect of racial solidarity on the American legal system.

The picture is all Lawrence and Zahn, whose dynamics get something going, though not enough (please!) to spark a buddy sequel.
