  1. This movie is a one-of-a-kind experience – blarney carried to rhapsodic heights.

Ondine is Injected with a heavy dose of magic and has a lot going for it: an endearing performance from star Colin Farrell, Christopher Doyle's evocative cinematography and a captivating-if thin-story.

Ondine plumbs the country's most resonant fairy tale and plays impishly along the borders of postcard fantasies of Ireland.

Funny, whimsical and as warming as a big bowl of Irish stew.

  1. Neil Jordan is a master in being able to describe the emotional depth of the human psychic. Ondine however managed to captivate me also for the beautiful cinematography, the mesmerizing score, the surprisingly depth of Colin Farrel's acting and the beautiful interwoven fairytale. Expand
  2. Cinematography was outstanding. Soundtrack was Superb. not the most compelling film to watch. somewhat of a awkward watch in places and in my opinion a very unflattering ending Expand
  3. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I found this movie a nice surprise. Is romantic and sweet. Is funny and inocent. And the little girl, Annie, stoled the show. She is a very good actress and almost made me cry. Watching Collin in his natural habitat, talking line an irish is priceless. And that girl is very pretty. The mom was a very bad influence, i expected the worst from here and i got it. And always thaught that the stepfather was a pervert, and turned our it was not. At the end a very nice surprise movie.
