The moviemakers are accomplished enough to make something coherent out of this tonal mishmash, but I was left with a "was this trip really necessary" feeling for all that.

The setting, characters, and plotI cannot believe that there are people who do not appreciate this film. It is beautiful in its own sense. The setting, characters, and plot were shown as described in the novel, though I cannot deny the fact that there are slight changes done. It is not perfect, but it is awfully wonderful. I love it no matter what. Full Review »
