  1. Rush Hour effectively teams Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in a formulaic but funny action comedy that should please fans of both stars.
  2. A sturdily entertaining vehicle, easily the little guy's best American-made film.
  3. It's the kind of copycat movie that becomes original through its cast and treatment.

There's a familiar feeling to the movie even beyond its twinkle-eyed martial arts melees.

The movie seems to proceed from somebody's notion that it would be hilarious to see a black guy and a Chinese guy working together.
  6. At regular intervals the film stops short for similiarly nifty Chan choreography, letting the star flip, swivel, scamper up walls and hurl large objects with his feet.

It's not much fun to watch.

A brilliant action movie with clever comedy and an original plot. One of Jackie Chan's best movies.

One of my all time favorite movies. This is the movie that made me love buddy cop movies, and a Jackie Chan fan. Although, I wonder where Chris Tucker is these days. Expand

This movie was hilarious especially when it came out. The combination of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan just made the movie exciting since they brought their own personalities into the movie. I was never a fan of Jackie Chan before or after Rush Hour. Expand

Rush Hour was one of the best action comedies of 1998. The movie deserved more acclaim for its originality. The characters are sly and amusing, Tucker and Chan are one of the best on screen buddy duos ever ! Expand

I love this film so much! it's really a classic. Which is weird considering Jackie Chan didn't even get it. The plotline is silly yet very fun, the combination of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker works really well. The film can be rather funny at times and is very light-hearted while mixing the serious story in at the same time. Everyone owes it to themselves to watch this film (and sequels). Grab some snacks and watch a very enjoyable film. Expand

Just your average action movie with its average violence. The acting is pointless but Chris Tucker couldn't be more annoying. worthless mindless crap.
