  • Summary: Nick Broomfield's quest for the real Sarah Palin. A journey across the icy snows of Alaska in mid winter, to meet the school friends, family, and Republican colleagues that in previous days gave their heart, and souls to the charismatic, charming, intoxicating ex hockey mum. But it's not all plain sailing. People are frightened to talk, Wasilla makes Twin Peaks look like a walk in the park. It's a devout evangelical community - 76 churches with a population of only 6 thousand, and the Crystal meth capitol of Alaska. Who are the flying monkeys, the enemies, the friends, and most importantly - are you with her or against her? Join the quest and for Christ's sake buy some thermals! (Freestyle Releasing)

Never one to take a back seat in his movies, Broomfield projects a shambling, Columbo-style bonhomie that gains him access to people who should be very afraid of letting him cross their threshold.

Though a great deal of this material (e.g., Troopergate) seems like old news, Broomfield is so dogged that he makes
 a case, in a deeper way than we've seen, that there's a
terrifying remorselessness to Palin's feuding nature.

Sarah Palin -You Betcha! is probably the scariest movie you will see all year.

Shovels enough dirt on the Tea Party guru and self-described hockey mom to satisfy her haters, but lacks sufficient humor and insight to make it a must-see for anyone outside the Brit muckraker's fan base.

It feels warmed over, devoid of urgency and, in spite of Mr. Broomfield's on-camera displays of doggedness, lacking in curiosity.

Palin may have lost her taste for the responsibilities of office, but thanks to Broomfield's barely veiled condescension, this slightly prejudiced portrait could win her more supporters than it loses.

Broomfield's point that Palin followers threaten her enemies, though, is worthy of a different documentary - perhaps one about American fanaticism.

Another Sarah Palin documentary? Give me a break. I hate Sarah Palin. Her floppy show, her sister's stint on "Dancing with the Stars," and her popularity. Her glasses looked like Steve Urkel from Family Matters. I promised you, if she wins in 2012, I'm gonna vomit in less than 60 mins. This is one of the worst documentary since Apollo 18. Expand

Sarah Palin is a waste of space. Anything giving her any more screen time than she already has is not worth my time. save yourself the trouble of watching this pile of well u get the idea Collapse
