I love this movie. EVERY woman should see it! I saw it at the Vancouver Film Festival. My friend Holly and I left there feeling incredibly empowered. The best doc. I have yet to see!

I loved this! I -just- saw it on the Sundance channel, and I never knew that boxing was so intense. I had always related it to wrestling, but I quickly found by watching this that the difference lies beyond just the gloves. Lucia Rijker seems like not only a physical prodigy but she shows to have a wonderful spiritual and mental side of her as well, which she uses in her sport. This documentary shows that boxing isn't all intimidation, but it is an art. Expand

By trying to be both a portrait of Rijker and an introduction to women's boxing, it shortchanges both subjects.
  2. Could use more background and personal detail on Rijker, but Bankowsky's tight, no- frills approach is always compelling.
