I thought it was an awesome movie. Think about it, she was dying but yet made the best out of the time she had left to help another in need. I am buying this movie. If possible one day I want my grandchildren and great grandchildren to be sure and see it.

After looking through "professional" critic reviews, I finally understood why I like Chicago Tribune so much over other periodicals. The thing is that those guys at CT do have hearts and do understand that there is more to life than what you expect in an average, credit-backed, bubble-life.

I absolutely loved this movie. Sure, it was awkward in spots but so is life. Keanu Reeves really nailed the "yuppy jerk" bit and the chemistry between him and Charlize Theron really made this movie memorable.

I really enjoyed this film, it is one of the best iv seen in the past while. charlize and keanu did a great job, the chemistry between them i thought was electric. im not a person that would cry at a film but this film had me very close, it certainly caused a lump in my throat. up to the last quarter of this film had me feeling heart warmed and feeling that this is was happiness is (especially that scene which keanu realised this is all he ever wanted), and then the last quarter moved me tremendiously. good film.… Expand

It's reality. It's not some fairy tale where everyone falls in love and lives happily ever after.

This is one of those films where you wished they'd asked you to work out those weak spots. It should have been made better. You had the right girl and the guy, but then it falls flat. Needs a better finish too.

Women would love the romance in the movie.

I don't understand why everyone gave it such a lousy review. Although the beginning was odd, it made sense in the end. There are so many people who cant stand to watch a movie that doesn't have some huge muscled guy blowing up buildings and then making passionate love to some woman. To hell with plot, I want me some 'splosions!

Charlize was the best, the movie was really sweet and the critics are all tired of their jobs now so they don't care what they say. But it was definitely one of the best love stories ever.

The movie was hard to follow at first, but as it went on the theme of the movie seemed to out weight your understanding. Toward the end it all came together. Overall it was a lovely movie.

I was just about to turn off this movie after 10 minutes, I'm not a big movie buff, but WOW the movie connected with me. i believe I had an experience like this, and because of my inmaturness, I let it all go. I've only come to this conclusion now in my life.

A tear jerker, that's for sure. Unfortunatley, Keanu Reeves apparently can't show any emotion other than impatience and gruffness. He's a great jerk, but a lousy romantic and terrible at showing tears. He should stick to action flicks. Charlize Theron I think did a great job. Unfortunately, her character was inconsistently written. Somewhat surprised at the ending. Having spun through it the critics comments I'm begining to realise the value of not have to write to be paid. The film works and both leads carry the script off well. It entertained my wife and I for a few hours and nobody got shot. As for the critics, ignorance is bliss, Ha Ha Ha!

It reminded me of myself and i related to Nelson very much and it gave me an awakening.

Why do I bother reading what critics write about? Most of them probalby never made it in film and now makes a living trashing simple films such as this.
