Item: Swimfan is less a remake of "Fatal Attraction" than White Shadow meets 21 Jump Street in a pool. Item: Christensen is hot. Item: A must see for the Speedo crowd.

Abysmal... I tried to watch it but it was just so predictably bad that I couldn't possibly make it through. Not even the speedos did it for me.

Well made. Holds the attention quite well for a bit. Not unpleasant. Preferable to being beaten to death with the inert body of a baby seal. That is all.

Boy was this bad. Bad editing, bad script, bad directing, for God's sake they couldn't even LIGHT properly! It was so bad it should have been funny but couldn't even manage that. It's what you'd expect a couple high school freshmen to put together if they had a budget of a few dozen millions.

I didn't think it was spectacular but it wasn't terrible either. Jesse Bradford and Clayne Crawford are nice to look at with hardly anything on. You gotta give them some credit.

Difficult to review. I know the film is terrible, but part of me is thankful that I went to the film and got what I expected; thus was gratified. I was looking for cheap entertainment and got it. Jesse Bradford particularly impressed me; he shows real potential as being a very good dramatic actor and I hope he goes far. An actor's first work is seldom good. I admire "Swimfan" for doing what it sets out to do, but I know it's not a good film in the least. Neither is it recommendable. But I appreciate that for once, the filmmakers made a bad film and knew they were doing so--until that becomes the joke. Expand

I've had more fun watching paint dry then i did at this movie. It had so many similarities to the movie "The Crush".

Did you actually think to go watch it for any reason other than the pretty people on the screen? Why else would you?

You know you're watching a bad thriller when before its halfway point you're laughing at the plot twists, and suprised at how much worse it progressivly keeps getting.

  1. Like "Cruel Intentions," Swimfan is entertaining enough to be considered a guilty pleasure. But to transcend the teenage movie genre both movies would have needed a baby Glenn Close, and both came up short.

Promises thrills galore but delivers only limp non-frights and predictable yawns.
