  1. This handsome film is a splendid, stirring feat of the imagination.
  2. A handsome Holocaust melodrama hobbled by a transparent and cartoonish script.
  3. A few genuinely tense scenes are not enough to overcome a thin script, weak direction and an unceasingly high-strung score.

Despite its handsome photography and a few memorable performances, The Aryan Couple is mainly notable for its inappropriate, blithe sentimentality.
  5. Definitely third-rate Holocaust material.
  6. The whole thing is coarse and vulgar, as it hides its low fascinations behind a scrim of Holocaust piety until it becomes pure kitsch.
