GaborA.Jan 15, 20065Great dialogue. Everything else ranges from average to retched.

BlancoA.Oct 1, 20019I was very entertained by this movie. Much more powerful and hard-hitting than "The West Wing," and I think Robert Wilonsky must have been on some kind of medication when he screened this thing. A bug up his ass, you say? I think so....

camJul 27, 20074Likable for the first half but utterly spoiled by the the woeful, corny ending.

ChrisC.Dec 18, 20033If the movie had been muted, it might've looked like a well-directed and intriguing movie. But with the sound, you hear all the liber drivel and pure bullshit. How this has so many positive reviews is beyond me. But hey, i guess if you can stand watching pure crap for a couple hours, then go knock yourself out.

Jun 10, 20115Whilst the film is able to stand up on the strength of it's performances (especially from Gary Oldman), the moral one-sidedness and misrepresentation of White House politics brings it down.

55It's a polished, beautifully made movie with a rotten heart.

100One of those rare movies where you leave the theater having been surprised and entertained, and then start arguing.

60Until The Contender slips into partisan politics and platitudinous piety, it's a lively, entertaining ride.
