Where on this world wide web can I buy a copy of The Legend Of 1900!? I saw it on a plane on the way to the states from France, and have been drooling for it ever since. I want all of my friends and everyone I know to see it. Please respond to Montacita@aol.com. Please...

I absolutely adore this movie. I thought there were details missing even before I knew about the 45 minutes loped off. All of the characters are warm and real and you can't help but care about them. Tim Roth's character is sensitive and sad and funny all at the same time.

Actually, I felt for Tim Roth in this movie and was thoroughly entertained by the music. I was a bit saddened at the end to see [--Ed: Spoiler omitted--] due to his fear of the unknown of the LAND PEOPLE LIFE, but I contemplated deeply on his decison and generally accepted it decided that for him that was his best choice.

I happened upon this movie while visiting family in B.C. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the music which I hope to purchase in the near future. Being a piano player myself I hope to locate the sheet music for the title song which is so hauntingly beautiful. I would recommend this film to anyone who appreciates music and ideas on a fairly deep level. Definitely a "10"!

Another "little" movie...hardly anyone has heard of it...but crafted so well. Is it possible I've seen two this summer? MBFGW and Legend?

Frankly, I am a man. I laughed at my girl friend when she cried in Titanic. What to cry about? I'm kind of man who don't buy comercialized man and women love tragic ending. This one, this movie, are really something to laugh about, to think about, and to cry about. I did. It's really make sense in every way, how we forget about the real meaning of life. Needless to speak more. It speak for itself, if we really listen. Expand

Most people that have seen this movie seeem to have come across it by accident. In my case I was sleepless and just watching the movie channel. Watched it because I thought "how many bad movies has Tim Roth been in?" Wonderful movie. Just a shame that the only version available on DVD/VHS is the 121 minute version premiered at Locarno, rather than the longer 160 minute opriginal release. If you've come across this review by accident and you get the chance to watch this movie - do it. You won't regret it. It's not Die Hard - it's one of the slower movies you'll watch all year, but it's a great piece of cinema - an Italian arthouse flick filmed in English. The obvious highlights are the scene with the rolling piano and the music duel with Jelly Roll Morton (not spoilers - they're mentioned in every proper review you'll read) Expand

One of the greatest movies i've ever seen .. the story was well thought out, the characters are interesting, and the music is absolutely exquisite. In fact, this movie actually inspired me to start taking piano lessons. I am now 16 and have been playing for 6 years, ever since The Journey Of 1900 was released.

This movie. the legend of 1900 is not a movie!!! for me its a masterpiece, an obra maestra!!! the movie and everything in it is alive!!! I was just taking a rest and doing a little channel surfing till I bump in the starmovies (I think) and saw this movie, actually to tell you the truth, at first, its really not the movie that interest me in watching it, but its MELANIE THIERRY!!! that I really adore and admire so much!!! its like shes a GODDESS!!! She is so beautiful, so elegant, if someone will come to me and ask me to tell him one of my greatest dreams, that will be to actually meet MELANIE THIERRY in person, talk to her, know her... THE VERY FIRST TIME I SAW HER IN THE MOVIE, I REALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH HER... I JUST HOPE THAT SOMEHOW SHE'LL KNOW HOW MUCH I ADMIRE HER, HOW MUCH I LOVE HER, HOW MUCH SHE MEAN TO ME... PLEASEEE kindly give the website of MELANIE THIERRY, and kindly give to her my regards... thank you and pls. reply on my e-mail... one more thing, pls. tell MELANIE THIERRY that I hope to see her someday... Thank you... Expand

An enchanting, staggeringly beautiful epic at sea, is poetry in motion.
  3. Tantalizingly structured to intrigue us right from the start.
