NancyF.Feb 6, 200210I absolutely adore this movie. I thought there were details missing even before I knew about the 45 minutes loped off. All of the characters are warm and real and you can't help but care about them. Tim Roth's character is sensitive and sad and funny all at the same time.

JonathanB.Oct 20, 200210This movie means absolutely nothing to an opiniated critic who gets paid for landlocked greed and slavery to the establishment. F..K JAZZ TOO! This Movie is a MASTERPIECE.

LindaT.Feb 21, 20029Actually, I felt for Tim Roth in this movie and was thoroughly entertained by the music. I was a bit saddened at the end to see [--Ed: Spoiler omitted--] due to his fear of the unknown of the LAND PEOPLE LIFE, but I contemplated deeply on his decison and generally accepted it decided that for him that was his best choice.

ClaudiaS.Feb 9, 200210I happened upon this movie while visiting family in B.C. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the music which I hope to purchase in the near future. Being a piano player myself I hope to locate the sheet music for the title song which is so hauntingly beautiful. I would recommend this film to anyone who appreciates music and ideas on a fairly deep level. Definitely a "10"!

CarmellenaS.Sep 10, 20029Another "little" movie...hardly anyone has heard of it...but crafted so well. Is it possible I've seen two this summer? MBFGW and Legend?

HedzyS.Feb 6, 20069One of the greatest movies i've ever seen .. the story was well thought out, the characters are interesting, and the music is absolutely exquisite. In fact, this movie actually inspired me to start taking piano lessons. I am now 16 and have been playing for 6 years, ever since The Journey Of 1900 was released.

80An enchanting, staggeringly beautiful epic at sea, is poetry in motion.

80Tantalizingly structured to intrigue us right from the start.
