Random, senseless, sometimes generic plot, but great action and occasionally funny. Seann William Scott's beginning to wear on one's will to live, however.

A cheesy action film starring the Rock? How good can it be? You'd be surprised. It's funny and surprisingly clever. The actions scenes are good and very well filmed (think the exact opposite of the Bourne Supremecy). It's cliched and unamazing, but it's a well done, high quality action film. If you're looking for a really good, deep thinker of a movie, then you know better to not look here for it. If you're looking for a throwaway action film, this is it, and you will be surprised at how good this one turns out to be. Expand

Suprisingly good. Sean W.S. and The Rock actually work well together, and Walken's lines were funny. This is a treat to the MILLIONS [and millions]...etc.

Here?s a true brainless action film, unashamed of its heritage and with enough style and bravado to please everyone. Unlike so many summer flicks, this has a hero worth rooting for, and supporting players that are more than mere decoration. Which begs the question ?- why wasn?t this released earlier? Perhaps Walken?s just too creepy.

I went in being very pessimistic about this movie. I didn't know what to expect from The Rock after Scorpian King. I can now say that he more than well made up for it. This was the perfect combo of actors. Possibly one of the better action movies I have seen in a long time.

I'm not usually a fan of blockbuster action movies, but this is just too much fun. I must also give props to The Rock for coming a long way from wrestling acting, cause he aint terrible in this.

The Rundown is an awesome adventure comedy that sets huge expectations and raises the bar for movies of its same type. the rock, sean william scott, christopher walken and Rosario dawson bost good performances and the Rock proves he is a movie star. very entertaining, a movie you will talk about and will want to see again!

If you laughed at all during the trailer, you're going to enjoy this film. The Rock has amazing screen presence and does wonders with a weak script. Stifler is completely one-dimensional and does exactly what you expect him to do.. Christopher Walken plays the classic villain and is a joy to watch on screen with The Rock. There were, of course, holes in the plot, and lots of useless scenes but director Peter Berg definitely knows how to make a fun action-comedy! Go see this film if you want to be entertained and have some fun at the movies!!! Expand

"The Rundown" isn't utterly generic. There's a plot twist that caught me off-guard. It's doesn't cause a major alteration to the story, but we should be grateful to any burst of inspiration, however miniscule. "The Rundown" might've been better if they unleashed Christopher Walken. After seeing Johnny Depp's work this summer, humor, beyond the usual banter between leads, is a welcome counterpoint to the rough stuff. But he's held in check so The Rock can show off his comic wares and McGyver ways. Expand

This was fun, really entertaining and probably deserves a sequel. Engaging chemistry between The Rock and Sean William Scott. Kudos also to Ernie Reyes, Jr. who provided one of the most memorable action scenes - his best performance since Ninja Turtles 2 and Ninja Surfers.

The Rundown is actually a lot of fun, mostly because The Rock, simply by standing there and being The Rock, cancels out Scott entirely.
  2. Those not in the smackdown frame of mind will find an overabundance of head-butts, body slams and pounding aural effects -- this is a definite contender for loudest film of the year -- but also will discover instances of innovative, spectacular stuntwork and, though the comic interplay often falls flat, a story with heart.

The Rock and Scott work up some nice comic chemistry, but it’s the dependably warped Walken who steals the most scenes. The frenetically edited fight sequences will satisfy the blood lust of the target audience.
