If movies are about entertainment, this was a 10!

It was Rock's first major movie so yeah its not perfect but the movie was fun and exciting. People take these things way too seriously!

It's a very good movie.

I like the Rock, but this movie should have never been made. the only reason i gave it 1 point is becuase ive never actually seen it! lol! But the trailers and commercials i've seen for it are so bad it almost comes to the point of angering me.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. The rock has been a bad actor sine Mummy Returns and well...he didnt change for this movie. It's a predicable chessy movie...I laughed the last 10 minutes of the movie it was so cheesy!!!

I enjoyed the movie very much. I don't think the makers of this movie made it to win an award, it was made for people to enjoy and it was the Rock's first real movie. For it to receive such awful reviews is just sad.

This movie just kept on going with a plot to keep the main charachter alive. I can not keep track of how many times the Rock get's hurt but doesn't die. The squeeky voiced dude sounds strangely like the other squeeky voiced guy in The Mummy. The Rock does a good job, but convienently has friends everywhere to save him. Only good for people looking for nonstop action with no blood.

The movie jumps right into action yet because it is so stupid it makes the movie funny. But we all must remember that The Rock is new to acting so of course it wasnt going to be perfect. Scorpion King sucks!!!

It was OK, pretty much an imo of the mummy, although it had nothing to do with it, and Scorpions didn't have very much to do with that scorpian king dude, except that he put a scorpian into an arrow, (WOW OMG THAT SOOOO MAKES HIM A SCORPION KING!!!) ok my vote WAS 7 but now I'll make it 5 coz I have convinced myself it's CRAP. Everybody has to suck at something, well,not only does The Rock suck at wrestling but at acting too. He really needs some help, or do I just hate him?

The Rock is awsome and I would watch any movie he is in. I am not biased as I say that this movie is better than I expected, he kicked butt, and looked good doing it.

Now i know that this movie doesent take much grey matter to watch, however, it was very entertaining to me for some reason. it made me feel like a kid again. although the humore was dry, i found the dvd commentary by the rock hillarious. check it out.

Compared to other movies I have seen (and I mean BAD) This one was pretty dang good. The Rock was HOT! The storyline was pretty dang entertaining. Sure it wasn't historcally correct (according to some reviews) but who watches movies to learn someting on a Friday night?! COME ON!!

The real problem with this prequel is in the mummy returns. If it had set a far more interesting and detailed background for the Scorpion King, it would've been really good. Since it didn't you just don't care.

For me, this is a huge letdown. It didn't give the point nor reason why they call it The Scorpian King. It just is, because it mentions it in The Mummy movies and as a joke one time in this. But really, the writing is fine but things aren't as expected in this movie, the acting by the Rock is horrible, his acting here will give him roles in the future that are almost so bad, that its corny. But the movie is nothing more than a wrestler in a story with cheeze.… Expand

THE ROCK IS HOTT!!!!

The Rock shows a lot of potential here as an action star. Unfortunately, the screenplay doesn't dig deep enough so that we can have a greater understanding of who the Scorpion King really is.

Jeez, I go to this movie hoping for some good stupid fun trash and all i got was stupid trash. The Rock could've been a contender, but it ends up tasting like the beer Conan pissed out.

Just like everything else Vince McMahon touches lately, this movie goes down the sh.tter. You can tell when a movie is crap when you can honestly state that the camel can outmatch the entire cast intellectually.Constant sexual teases make you realize why "nobody likes a tease". Despite his looks, the rock does _not_ know how to act very well. He does however make wrestling look real.

No, the Rock cannot act, we all knew that. I don't blame him though. He isn't the first action star who couldn't act. This movie was bad due to the directing. If Rock looks bad it's the director's job to make him look good, which didn't happen here. It's as if no one in the movie cared about their part in the movie, so why should anyone else?

Hey, action flick, what do you want? Good old fashioned sword fight movie!

The Rock is very charismatic, but can't save this positively horrible film. I would rather lick the frost off of a metal pole in the dead of winter then to ever sit through this piece of crap ever again.

Nothing special about this movie. Decent special effects, but it had nothing to do with The Mummy.

Although this is the first leading role for "The Rock," he puts on a much better effort than seeing Paul Hogan in the "Crocidile Dundee" series. True this is a run-of-the-mill action/adventure, but "The Scorpion King" has enough humor and action sequences to keep nearly anyone interested, except those who are looking for bloody mayhem.

Fan-freaking-tastic the kind of movie you'll remember and have in your collection for years, it's got action and humor, and it's just so enjoyable that you have to have something wrong with you not to like this movie, a must see.

This might be the most underrated movie I have ever seen. The thing about this movie is that it doesn't take itself seriously, and nobody watching it should either. The Rock is perfect in this, slightly corny and with a subtle feeling throughout that he's just about to break the fourth wall. Overall, we end up with a movie that has plenty of action for action fans and a great sense of humor.

Just like the first Mummy film, The film has that "It" factor and it truely is an enjoyable film. A solid prequel (at least for the Mummy series) and good action through out (I would say the best in the first 3 films). It is a little corny at times though and that takes away from the film quite a bit. Overall though, It wasnt bad and its worth the watch.
