So ludicrous in so many different ways it achieves a kind of forlorn grandeur.
  2. Antielitist, anti-hypocrisy, pro-feel-good entertainment.

    An exercise in unintentional farce.
  4. Never graduates above the boneheaded.

This one's a pile of crap that won't start.
  6. A fast, slick, outlandish fiasco that starts out well and then seems to drop right off a cliff.
  7. Cohen drives the film at a galloping pace, but it's not fast enough to outrun its absurdity.

Initially tolerable but increasingly stupid thriller.

When it comes to being brainless, The Skulls is at the head of the class.
  11. 30
Less interested in politics than in profitably flattering the suspicions and resentments of its intended teenage audience.

  13. So inept it's almost entertaining.

The concept of secret societies has captured people's attention since...forever? "The Skulls" is no different, with its intrigue and a bit of romance. Without giving away plot details, this movie was far more entertaining than the Metacritic score suggests. I actually own this on DVD and would definitely buy this on blu-ray.

    Most importantly... RIP Paul Walker.
