Majid Majidi's exquisite film The Willow Tree"is likely to make a very brief stop in theaters en route to home video, so catch it when and if you can.

There's very little explicit exposition here; instead, Majidi presents us with a series of glistening tone poems.
  3. Although The Willow Tree occasionally suffers from a surfeit of portentous symbolism, it is ultimately a powerful portrait of a man who gets what he always wanted.
  4. The Iranian director Majid Majidi's sad, soulful film The Willow Tree is his second movie to explore blindness and sight on multiple levels.
