Wait for this movie to come out on video, then wait until you have a buy-one-get-one free card so you don't waste any money on it. Believe me, you've seen this movie before, if I had a dollar for every time I've seen this movie I'd buy everyone in the midwest a copy of it on VHS so they could burn it to keep warm this winter.

This was an unexpectedly good movie. The performances were believable and unlike a lot of movies, it was reasonably believable with good attention to details. I don't know where Jack Mathews is getting the idea that this movie has the most outrageously idiotic and improbable ending in a few years - that is a ridiculous statement that makes one wonder how many movies he has actually seen in the last few years. Overall, this is solid entertainment if you like thrillers. Yes, the climax is a bit over the top, but this movie entertained me and kept my attention. The writer did a nice job of interweaving the three storylines nicely (I was afraid the kidnapping scheme would get confusing and collapse in on itself, but that never happened). And that Charlize Theron is really good with a scalpel! Stuart Townshend was also quite good as the doctor (loved the scene where he administers medicine to Courtney Love). Expand

Truly like the movie! Kevin Bacon is, as always, brilliant! Dakota Fanning was outstanding, and Charlize Theron was good too! Not great, but a good movie! I movie everybody can enjoy!

  1. Splashes its drama all over the screen, subjecting its audience and characters to action that feels not only manufactured, but also so false you can see the filmmakers' puppet strings.
  2. Not the kind of unwatchable mess you might assume a film withheld from reviewers' scrutiny would be. It is, however, something equally unfortunate: a mess you'd rather not be watching.
  3. Trapped does have a fine ensemble of actors and, except for what may be the most outrageously idiotic and improbable ending in a few years, is not that bad a movie.
