Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club is a sitcom masquerading as a feature film. And given Perry's snowballing small-screen presence, an eventual TV show of it would be no surprise.

Tyler Perry sucks and he needs to be freaking destroyed. Oprah too if she continues to support this guy. Please let this be the beginning of the end. PLEASE.

Stop reviewing these films. They are awful, vacuous, formulaic and racist (as is most exclusively white work by Ron Howard and others too but two wrongs and all that). It is 'undeniably popular' as the quote says below in the same way that alcohol is undeniably popular or sex with anyone you want.... but then you bring in the small matters of abuse, violence, death and rape and so forth...Stop reviewing these films. The Single Moms Club is almost good.

Never a filmmaker known for his subtlety, The Single Moms Club turns out to be one of Perry’s most distinctive efforts.

This is a film about catharsis and camaraderie, not logic. For some, that — and a chance to see characters the movies often ignore — will be enough to join the club.
