I thought this movie was great. Sure it was a little dreamy and spacy but it sure took me back to the '80s and a little to the '60's. The characters were more like real people, vague in their motivations, incomplete, connected but not in touch than the shallow robots you see in most movies. The father character was the best. And the dealer played by Roberts reminded me of all the dealers I used to know back then and who have been erased from cultural history by the "just say no" mythology. Hannah was question mark, she wasn't smart enough to be the character she played. Beautiful shots of Marin county, it is worth it for that alone. Expand

I loved to watch Clea in this move! She and the setting made this move great for me! It was amazing to watch how great she was next to Daryl Hannah (who was really bad).

  1. Timely in that it joins an already mammoth list of bad movies about post-hippie static, including the recent "Steal This Movie."
  2. A dreamy, impressionistic inquiry into the legacy of the 1960's, but it's less concerned with history than with mood.
  3. Wildflowers is the only brand of requiem the '60s get anymore -- worshipful and ass-backward.
