David Mamet

Biography: American award winning playwright, director, poet and novelist, Mamet first made his mark with his early plays Sexual Perversity in Chicago (1974), The Duck Variations (1976) and American Buffalo (1977). Mamet gained wide success and his Pulitzer Prize for the play Glengarry Glen Ross(1984). Many of Mamet's plays have ben made into feature films, such as American Buffalo and Glengary Glen Ross.
