Eli Manning

Biography: Eli Manning was born on January 3, 1981, to former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and his wife Olivia. He is the youngest of three boys including his older brother current NFL quarterback, Peyton Manning, who plays to the Colts. His eldest brother, Cooper, was a wide receiver before he stopped due to a spinal condition.
Eli is the starting quarterback for the New York Giants. He wears #10. He led the Giants to a stunning win against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The game, in which Eli's pass to David Tyree is highlighted, is considered one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. He was named MVP, succeeding his older brother Peyton.
Eli attended the Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, which he led to the state football quarterfinals twice, and was named to the high school All-American team. Going into the 2004 NFL draft,he told the San Diego Chargers not to draft him. The Chargers did draft him with the first overall pick, but traded him to the New York Giants for Phillip Rivers, New York's third round pick, and their 2005 first and fifth round picks.
Together with his dad and brothers, Eli runs the Manning Passing Academy during the summer. Eli announced that he and long time girlfriend, Abby McGrew, were engaged on March 20, 2007. They are to be married in April 2008.
