Biography: Actress and singer Ellen Greene was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 22, 1951. Her first appearance on TV was in NBC's 'Seventh Avenue' in 1977. Her most famous role on TV was on HBO's miniseries 'Glory!Glory!', where she played the role of Sister Ruth. Her latest TV role is on ABC's original new show 'Pushing Daisies', where she plays the character of Aunt Vivian.
