Biography: Eva Marie Saint studied acting at Bowling Green State University, and found work in radio and television before going on to win the Drama Critics Award for her stage role in 1953's A Trip to Bountiful. Her film career began with starring alongside Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, earning herself an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Her other well known films came early in her career and included Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest and Exodus with Paul Newman. The quality of the roles she was offered declined somewhat in the 1970s and because of that she headed back to television and stage in the '80s. She has had a variety of roles and has starred in many made-for-TV movies. In 1990 she was awarded an Emmy for the mini-series People Like Us. She has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for movies and one for television.
