Harland Williams

Biography: Harland Williams started out as a forest ranger, but left to take a chance at becoming a stand-up comic. He got his start in the early 1990s as a comedian and a recurring guest star on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Soon after, he became an actor in his debut as the spacecraft designer, Fred Z. Randall, in the movie RocketMan in 1997. He has also starred in feature-length films such as The Whole Nine Yards (2000) and Sorority Boys (2002). In addition to making movies, Harland was also working in television. In 2000, he worked on David Spade's animated show Sammy. During the same year, he became the host of the Comedy Central's stand-up comedy series Premium Blend that provided him a two-minute opening dialogue that exposed his comedy to a national cable-wide audience. He also co-starred on the short-lived The Geena Davis Show. Harland is also a trained animator who invented the character Lickety Split, a brontosaurus, in a series of children's books that he wrote and illustrated. Expand
