Jay Paulson started acting when he was in middle school. Paulson had the lead roles in middle school and all the productions in high school. When Paulson was in the eleventh grade, a talent manager in the audience was impressed by his acting abilities and has been working for him professionally ever since.
Paulson's first TV appearance was on the series "Cybil," which he played for two years. After that he played in the series "Battery Park", "Studio 60", "The West Wing," "NYPD Blue" and "Just Shoot Me."
A few of Paulson's film appearances include: "Rolling Kansas," "Go", "Can't Hardly Wait," and "Imaginary Heroes."
Paulson was born in New York City and lived in Brooklyn. In 1984 he moved out to Los Angeles. Paulson graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in History.
He lives in Venice Beach. He loves to read, play Scrabble (for which he is a nationally ranked competitive player) and long distance running.
