Larry Keating

Biography: Larry is probably best remembered as a television actor, usually playing urbane and witty, though curmudgeonly types, particularly as the fourth and longest-lasting incarnation of Harry Morton in The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, and later as Wilbur Post's neighbor Roger Addison in Mister Ed. However, before entering television he made his mark in radio, as an announcer for NBC in the 1940s, and for ABC's This Is Your FBI (1945-53) as spokesman for the Equitable Life Assurance Society of America. He also appeared in several movies. He died suddenly during the third season of Mister Ed, which came as a shock to fellow cast members and viewers alike, and which began a steady decline in the show's ratings.
