Liv Tyler

Biography: Liv Tyler, daughter of rock star legend Steven Tyler, is an American film actress most known for playing the role of Arwen Undomiel in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. People also remember her from her earlier work in the 1995 cult hit Empire Records and in her appearance with Alicia Silverstone in the music video of Aerosmith's "Crazy".

When Liv was 14 years old, she and her mother moved to New York, where she appeared in magazines such as Seventeen, YM, and Mirabella. After a brief modeling stint, Liv began taking roles in films in the mid-'90s. But it was only in 1996 when she landed her first significant lead role in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty. In 1998, Liv played Grace Stamper, Bruce Willis' daughter in the summer blockbuster hit Armageddon.

From 2001-2003, Tyler dedicated her time and effort into the award-winning film adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien trilogy. During filming in New Zealand, Liv has learned to speak the fictitious Elvish language
and was trained in swordfighting as preparation for her role as the immortal elf princess Arwen. After a brief break from acting, Liv returned in the Adam Sandler movie Reign Over Me in 2007 before playing the role of Betty Ross opposite Edward Norton in the 2008 summer hit Incredible Hulk. Expand
