Biography: Margaret Colin was born in Brooklyn in 1958 and grew up in Long Island where her father worked as a cop. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1976 and attended Hofstra University until she dropped out to pursue acting. She landed her first role in ABC's The Edge of Night. Since then she has worked steadily in theater, movies and TV shows such as Now and Again, Chicago Hope and Gossip Girl. While working she took time to start a family with Justin Deas and has had two sons.
