Melissa Rosenberg

Biography: An American film and television writer. Melissa Rosenberg is widely known for her work on the TV dramas Dexter, The O.C., Party of Five, and many more. Rosenberg also penned the screenplays for the 2006 hit movie Step Up, and the 2008 adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire novel Twilight.

After completing a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre and Dance at Bennington College in Vermont, Melissa joined a small improvisational dance company in New York City with dreams of being a choreographer. When she returned to the West Coast, many of her friends were working in the entertainment industry. Intrigued, she embarked on a post-graduate course in film and television at the prestigious Peter Stark Producing program at USC.

Melissa went on to write for various TV series including Dark Skies, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, The Magnificent Seven, and The Agency.
She currently serves as Executive Producer of the Emmy-nominated Showtime series Dexter.
