Terence Winter

Biography: Terence Winter is a screenwriter and television producer most noted for his work on the HBO series, The Sopranos . Since joining the show in its second season, Winter has received multiple nominations and wins at The Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, Writers Guild Awards, PGA Golden Laurel Awards, and Edgar Allen Poe Awards. Before joining The Sopranos , Winter wrote and/or produced episodes for various shows including: The Great Defender , The Cosby Mysteries , Xena: Warrior Princess , Sister, Sister , The New Adventures of Flipper , Diagnosis Murder , Charlie Grace , DiResta , and The PJ's . In addition to his television work, Winter wrote the 2005 film directed by Jim Sheridan, Get Rich or Die Tryin , starring rapper, 50 Cent, along with the videogame, 50 Cent: Bulletproof . He also wrote and produced, Brooklyn Rules , starring Alec Baldwin, Scott Caan, Freddie Prinze Jr., Jerry Ferrara, and Mena Suvari, with Michael Corrente directing. Terence Winter received a B.A. from New York University and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
