Thom Racina

Biography: Thom is an American soap opera writer. He began his long career in daytime in 1980, when he joined "Search for Tomorrow" as a script writer. The same year, he was selected as a Co-Head Writer of "General Hospital," and stayed in that spot until 1983. From 1984 to 1986, he was the Co-Head Writer of "Days of our Lives." In 1987, he started writing scripts for "Another World," and was promoted to Associate Head Writer position during 1988. Three years later, he served as a Head Writer for "Dangerous Woman," but left the same year to write for "Santa Barbara," until the show's cancellation in 1993. From 1993 to 1994, he was the Co-Head Writer of "Family Passions." He left the soap opera business in 1994, and exactly 14 years later he joined the crew of "The Young and the Restless" as a script writer, but was fired after only a few weeks with the show in October 2008.
