Val Guest

Biography: Val Guest started out in the film business as an actor, and quit before people found out how bad he was, (hey those are his own words) and decided to go into behind the scenes production, where he wrote and directed some of the best films in the Hammer Films Canon. His titles for Hammer include "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth", "The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas", and the film that jumpstarted Hammer "The Quatermass Xperiment". Outside of Hammer, he directed the classic "Casino Royale" in 1967 and "Killer Force" starring Christopher Lee, Telly Savalas, O.J. Simpson and Peter Fonda.

Val retired from directing in 1985 after directing three episodes of Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense, "In Possession", "Mark of the Devil" and "Child's Play".
