Meow Meow Happy Fight basically takes the dual-stick shooter genre, fits it to a deathmatch setting, and then injects a ton of style and character into it.

Overall I found myself enjoying the unique fun that this game provides, regardless of the far fetched storyline and re-use of the app store cliché, Zombies.

Conceptually, Burn the Rope sounds fairly fun, but it does get fairly tedious as the game goes on.

Floop is clearly simple fun but that's just what makes it addictive. It'd be nice to see more levels added at a later date but other than that, it's cheap and cheerful.

If you are a fan of gravity based puzzle titles, you'll certainly get a kick out of Blind World.

If anything, Corporate Fury is definitely one of the more well thought-out games in the App Store.

Tiki Towers 2 is the full package for the physics puzzle fan. It's charming to look at and offers an enjoyable challenge while mixing it up every now and then to ensure that the game always feels fresh. Sure it might be liberally borrowing some World of Goo elements but it's borrowing from one of the greats which is no bad thing at all.

On a device where solid gameplay is king and dialog is an afterthought, it is refreshing to see something that epitomizes the full package.

A great, yet flawed, addition to the farming style games available on the market. If you find that games such as Farmville, Animal Crossing, and Harvest Moon are your cup of tea, then Astro Ranch is a definite purchase.

There are some things that I would like to see added on in the future, such as multiplayer and more bonuses, but the game is quite good as-is.

Minotaur Rescue is a solid little inertial shooter with plenty of TLC behind it. It can be quite chaotic, but the simple controls and offbeat elements in play make it fun and memorable, and the universal app support with expanded single-device multiplayer options is definitely a plus for iPad owners.

Grimm is about as pretty as a platformer can get, but it's lacking a bit in the excitement department.

Don't look to Hamlet to fulfill your needs for an educational game. This just isn't the game you're looking for. But, for those of us always jonesing for a new point-and-click adventure, Hamlet fits the bill nicely.

Monster Dash is not the pinnacle of the endless platformer genre, but its action-based take does enough right to be an entertaining game, and a worthy purchase for those looking for more endless platformers for their iOS device.

The gameplay is addicting and even with a clear end to the game, it'll take you some hours to finish. Everything is well-balanced, and the evolution of the game as you progress just makes it better.

Baseball Superstars 2011 is still far from being a perfect game, and the changes in this year's version are really only minor tweaks to the overall formula. But the minor tweaks add up to make this a better game, in some ways, even if the pitching is still far from perfect.

This is one game where it pays to play first.

If you love strategy games, you'll love it. But the drawbacks-sometimes wonky controls, thin multiplayer offerings, and no autosave-can get annoying.

For $2.99 this is a very fun, well-developed game worthy of your time. Don't make me send my army of balloons after you if you don't give it a shot.

If you're looking for a deep, intelligent hunting sim, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter is ideal. The added bonus of hunting dinosaurs rather than conventional animals just makes it all the more intriguing a proposition.

Clumsy Bob is as fun as he is adorable.

If I had to sum up the game, I'd class it as a good fun-filled time passer, my only little caveat being that because of the true repetitive nature of the puzzles within Cogs, the game didn't seem to have as much replay value as I probably was expecting from it, or would have liked it to of had.

It's a game of logic and strategy, experimentation and folding. If you like puzzles at all, you owe it to yourself to grab this little beauty.

While I don't see Crap of Defense winning many game of the year awards, I do think that it is a top notch time waster with a style of its own.

Cut the Rope is ingenious, following a similar formula to Angry Birds – charming graphics, simple gameplay that gets complexity steadily layered on top of it in a way that feels natural, almost without even feeling like it's getting more difficult.

If you like Canabalt style games and are looking for a twist on the genre, you'll enjoy Dead Runner. It's fast paced, looks nice, and has that great OpenFeint leaderboard that I know you want to crack.

Dizzypad lives up to Nimblebit's previous strong track record, delivering a fun, well-rounded, casual and visually good-looking gaming experience which is both addictive and at the same time, a joy to play.

There is absolutely no point to Doodle God, other than "gotta catch 'em all!" But, in some weird way…it's addictive. Insanely so.

The game is never-ending really. You just keep going, trying to last as long as possible while taking on new monsters.

If you like old school RPG's and don't need flashy 3D effects or mind-numbing puzzles, Inotia 3 is just the game for you. It won't challenge you too much, but you'll be entertained by Inotia 3 far longer than the vast majority of the other games on the platform.

There's enough new here to make it seem fresh, and those elements that are repetitive are so well executed it's hard to complain about them.

A great, simple baseball game that is only hindered by my previous addiction to Homerun Battle 3D. I love the simplicity of the game itself and find myself playing the game at times when I'm definitely not supposed to (like in the bathroom), but with a better batting system, smoother graphics and fonts, and a simplified upgrade system, this one would be a true, must have game.

One of the App Store's lesser-known treasures.

The resulting game is a smart, well thought out platformer that will challenge even the most experienced gamers.

A successful, improved prequel to the original. Its game play, saturated with intense action, colorful graphics and humor, is fun and satisfying.

Battle Blasters is a very consistent effort that looks and plays equally well. While pretty satisfying when played for short bursts, those looking to master the game will be rewarded by the game's subtle nuances.

While Bit Pilot, at face value, may not seem to have much to offer, the exact opposite is true; it's a deceptively-intense game with a lot of personality, fluid controls and a thought-provoking soundtrack.

As questionable as things may seem though, Caligo Chaser's individual parts come together to form a great whole.

An extremely well put together, although short experience. The controls are on the cusp of being perfect for the genre, the graphics and sound are top notch, and the online gameplay is definitely a glimpse into what iPhone FPS multiplayer will be like.

A simple game. It's run-and-jump, over and over again; the only semblance of "depth" comes with the online leaderboards.

Mirror's Edge may be short, and not fully rid of the horrid combat that has brought its other incarnations down, but it still is a fantastic agile urban platformer that shines more than it ever did on the consoles.

Sit back and unleash tough justice on illegal racing with supercars turned police cars; Hot Pursuit is engaging until the end.

If physics puzzles are your thing, don't hesitate to pick the game up, just be sure to send the guys over at vol-2 an email explaining your need for more levels.

More than many other iPad games, Ozone HD strives to create a truly immersive user experience, with a mechanic that is at once familiar yet original. The result is definitely something other game developers should take note of, and other iPad owners should play.

The graphics are excellent and the sound effects are good, too.

League of Evil is a supernova – shining brightly for a brief moment before it fades away.

It's charming throughout and very easy to get into, while not sacrificing depth too much. Here's hoping for an update or two offering Game Center support, new items and other delights.

A sound game indeed. While it is a little easy for Bust-A-Move veterans thanks to the huge arrow directing your aim, it still provides you with just what you want and the addition of boss battles and the Jump Shot ability is bound to enthral fans.

Shinobi III is a very fun action game that holds up well to this day, and while the controls are an occasional nuisance, they do not detract enough to take away from the game's action fun.

Frogatto is a platformer with an old-school style, a lovable character, and some great level designs.

For those of you that fit this category, first I hate you, and second you will find an immersive and complete game that did wonders on its console debut and is meeting with pleasant reactions in its iDevice debut as well.

While the graphics and lighting are top notch, the rest of the game is a fairly generic dual-stick shooter – not that that's a bad thing.

Fans of the Flash game and of endless platformers looking for a new fix will likely find some satisfaction from this game and its unique mechanics, although it eventually loses its amusement factor from its concept alone and frustration with the necessary leaps of faith will soon set in.

Once you grasp the rules and nuances of Wizard Hex, it's a fun, intriguingly deep strategy game with much potential.

The charm of Grim Joggers comes with its retro interface. The little joggers all graphically look like they are somewhere between the NES and the SNES, and the sound effects and upbeat theme music really set the mood well.

If you're looking for another good high score obtainer for your game arsenal, Zombie Highway is a good choice. With a good mix of action and skill, it's easy to come back to this one if you need a quick challenge.

Is it a perfect game? No. Is it a heck of a lot of fun? Yeah. It's certainly one of the better zombie games in the App Store, and a more enjoyable zombie shooter than any of Capcom's attempts to port RE to the device.

While it does offer more than any other game in the genre, it doesn't do anything that is so special that you will change your opinion.

For being a sequel, Zenonia 2 doesn't bring a ton of new stuff to the table. Still, that's OK…because it just builds on something that was great to begin with and adds tons to it.

It's challenging, requires a surprising amount of thought, and most importantly, is fast. Pick it up for some great action, just don't go in thinking that you are playing the next Final Fantasy.

In the end, FIFA 11 will probably hold your attention longer than most other iOS sports sims, but it won't keep you playing season after season. The game itself, for what it is, isn't bad but the virtual joystick does become grating after long plays.

Despite its lack of modern bells and whistles, it's is a solid port of a piece of history, and it exemplifies what RPGs used to be.

Before you decide on purchasing the fairly pricy game though, just know that there are very few graphics in Football Manager 2011. You aren't really playing soccer, you're just managing your team.

It's an enjoyable, addictive and quirky experience which, in my opinion, lives up to the initial pre-release hype.

Fragger is a solid, well-developed, addictive pick-up-and-play title that should appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers alike.

The game is simple and addictive. It's the kind of basic mechanic anyone can pick up and enjoy in seconds, and keep playing for hours, especially in Zen mode, where the quest for high scores can keep you playing for long periods of time.

The only real limitation behind Garage Inc is that it's a little short.

But the challenge and relative complexity of Gravity Hook HD are part of the package – this is a game that is unashamed to be unforgiving, and if you can appreciate that, you will likely appreciate Gravity Hook HD to be more than just the typical pick up and play game, but what makes it unique keeps it from being truly great.

The graphics are stunning, the concept is fresh, and the controls are tried and true.

Like you would expect from Com2uS, Heavy Gunner 3D is a quality game with surprising depth.

Much like its predecessor Carnivores: Ice Age is all about being different and being intelligent in its portrayal of the genre. If you weren't taken by Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter this isn't for you. If you were though, this is a worthy addition to the collection.

Shining Force is an underappreciated classic, and while its age sometimes shows, it is a good port by Sega to iOS, and a great representation of a strategy RPG worth checking out to this day, at a fair price.

Sir Lovalot is far from a complicated game, but that is its charm. It's purely a game that you jump (pun intended) into for 5-10 minutes just to see if you can boost your high score a tad further. It's cheap, it's cheerful, it's worth a play.

In its own world, So Long Oregon is a perfect game that is able to entertain anyone who can hack it. Is it worth the $1.99 asking price? Ehh, that's hard to answer.

Soccer Superstars is well developed, fun and challenging. The amount of control the developers at Gamevil give players over pretty much every aspect of the game, combined with the fun, arcade-style game play give it great replay value.

While I do wish the game was more difficult, it's just too fun to put down, which can only mean good things.

Buddy Rush is a surprisingly well crafted cross platform Facebook app for the iPhone and iPad. It's bright graphics, excellent sound, good sense of humor, and vast re-playability will keep fans of the genre happy for some time.

While I certainly enjoyed playing all 15 levels of The Hero, I didn't finish the game with the excitement that I wanted to. Unfortunately, this was a case there the trailer was so good that it actually took away from the overall experience.

What you would expect from God of War clone on the iPhone. It's really pretty but is fairly soulless and leaves a bit to be desired.

My only real complaint with the game (the gameplay itself could be criticized, but it does have charm) is that it takes an incredible amount of time to really get started.

A satisfying game. There's nothing earth-shatteringly new about it, but it's a solid, light-hearted physics puzzler that should elicit a grin from your destructive side. If dynamite and strategy sound like a good combination to you, IUGO's latest offering should suit your tastes.

As a bare-bones example of what a game should be, The Impossible Game is a clear winner.

Going against the notion that it was impossible, NaturalMotion games has accomplished the feat of shrinking Jenga to fit into your pocket. Everything that you could ever want is there, showing that just about anything is possible on iOS.

If you are a fan of high-energy, chaotic action games, Knight's Rush will certainly tickle your funny bone. With its three game modes, it'll keep you hacking away at baddies for a good long while.

It's a fun Apple Gamecenter-compatible game that trades in tower defense conventions for something more suited to the game's chosen theme. Real care and love for the LOTR franchise can be seen throughout the app, and that translates into a fun experience overall.

Definitely one of the most difficult tower defense games out there. Beating the first level in itself is a chore, even on easy mode. With a few levels at your disposal and 3 difficulty levels to play through, you should have more than enough game to play, as long as you don't delete it out of frustration.

It has an overall polish that you can't find in many games on the App Store, especially in the monster truck racing department. Unfortunately, with the lack of any kind of upgrade element, the game won't hold the interest of many hard core racing fans, but with an abundance of casual gamers out there, this one may be a winner anyway.

If you like movies, this really is an unmissable purchase. I haven't had this much fun with a trivia game for a long time. The cutesy cats only help matters.

I have a hard time believing that NBA Hotshot will be anyones favorite app of all time, but for a short diversion from a persons commute or excruciatingly boring office meeting, this one may do the trick.

Give it a whirl. Physics puzzlers have been done plenty of times before but Save Toshi brings something new to proceedings and it's great fun for it.

Volcano Escape often runs into trouble when you want to mix shooting, jumping and firing.

If you're even the slightest of fans of poker games, you really should give Poker with Bob a whirl. It'll certainly be remaining on my iPhone for a while to come as it's so convenient to drop in to play a few hands whenever you've got a spare five minutes.

Cows vs. Aliens does exactly what a casual iPhone game does best. It's very simple to get into but it'll keep you playing for longer than you'd expect of such a basic idea.

The game is both immersive and addicting, involving you as the player and requiring you to keep an eye on a virtual land, it's efficiency and survival. With great in-game graphics and audio, The Settlers is highly recommended for people who digg the likes of Command and Conquer, Age of Empires, or RTS genre.

Being an avid fan of geoDefense and Spirit's visual style resembling parts of that, the game just seemed to click with me. Controls were both fluid and responsive.

An inspiring title that through artistic flair, innovative wind physics and particle effects creates an intricate world that is a pleasure to visit every time.

At the end of the day, most fans of space combat games won't find too much wrong with Star Battalion. In typical Gameloft fashion, the game is smooth, looks nice, and has a half descent story (even though it is a total knock off). The controls will drive you nuts at times, but for most, the good will outweigh the bad.

For as much as I complain, I'll still play it all the way through a few times to get all the achievements, but I'll whine and kick like a baby the whole time.

StarDunk is a very nice looking game that is quite amazing due to its multiplayer capabilities.

Bugs Wars is one of those delightful games that you can drop into and everything just clicks immediately.

A worthy buy if you love the genre or are a fan of Trenches… just be ready for some frustration.

Be sure to watch their promo videos for the game if you are on the fence. If they don't get you to buy the game, nothing will.

Stoneship makes a wonderfully light distraction. It's the kind of game you plan to play for five minutes then realise an hour has passed already.

Within superb in-game graphics, and an upbeat infamous sega-esque soundtrack to boot, Super Monkey Ball 2 is just one of those games you can pick up and play. I highly recommend it!

Overall Super Turbo Action Pig is a well-developed, solid, pick-up-and-play experience, worth its "salt" (sorry, I couldn't resist). Its quality animations, graphics and sound are enticing, but the monotony of its current game play can overshadow its overall appeal.

Something about Sword of Fargoal makes it addicting; the game hearkens back to a day when games had to be truly fun instead of relying on fancy graphics to be taken seriously.

If you are a fan of rhythm games and find yourself liking scary looking fur-balls, then Thumpies is the game for you.

TipTop's plot is linear…a bunch of stupid, well-meaning heroes are on a quest to save the world. But the game itself is incredibly fun to play. The controls are good, the tempo is quick, the artwork is fantastic, and the sense of humor present in the plot just makes it even more fun.

Splinter Cell Conviction may not live up to what its name might cause you to expect at times, but judged on its own, this is a solid action game with light stealth elements and fantastic graphics.

If funny Japanese things don't interest you, then DO NOT buy this one… you'll like it about as much as a scorpion bite. But, if the insanity of the land of the rising sun is your thing, then get it now.

Puckerz! is one of those games that's truthfully somewhat shallow, but despite this, it's easy-to-play nature gives it an addictive quality.

A simple little game, a great little co-opting of two classic game concepts mashed up into one. It's the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of games.

The level of control I have over my racer provides a certain degree of addictive game play and keeps me wanting to play more.

Touch Pets: Dogs is hands-down the best pet sim the App Store has yet seen, and it adds one more quality title to ngmoco's impressive catalog. Whether or not you're willing to invest the time and money in a virtual pet is another matter entirely.

The Voxel Agents have put together a highly polished app that looks good and controls perfectly. The only thing currently holding it back is a slight lack of depth, which can feasibly be addressed via the intended updates.

If you are looking for a new line-drawing game to conquer, or just like to rack up high scores (although there is no global leader board, just Facebook Connect… sad), Train Conductor 2 will keep you entertained for some time.

An impressive first offering from its designer, with a neat new spin on the puzzle app. Puzzle fans should definitely check it out.

Even with the graphics as bad as they were, the gameplay is such that the package is a must play experience.

Trenches is an excellent RTS (real-time strategy) game with no direct goals to urge you onward. If that sounds fine to you, go ahead-give it a try.

Tumbledrop just oozes cuteness. Thankfully, there's a substantial, challenging physics puzzle underneath that sugar-sweet skin.

Overall, Tunnel Shoot is a fun, simple game. It's a great casual shooter that's easy to figure out, but very difficult to master.

As much as I enjoyed playing UFO On Tape, I couldn't help but feel that there just wasn't enough.

While Urban Ninja may be a bit stiff at times with the control of the eponymous ninja, it can't detract from the great concept and the way the game splendidly explores its puzzle platforming for all its worth.

Cross Fingers is a very serene and intelligent game, and feels like something you can only experience on the iPhone. It's a great puzzler, as well as a nice demonstration of what some multi-touch can offer.

In all, what Cubed Rally Racer lacks in modern visual style, etc., it more than makes up for with quality, challenging, varied gameplay and quality retro elements nostalgic gamers will love.

Without trying to sound too positive about the game, I am thrilled that someone is finally trying to break the dual stick genre out of its little box.

Control is spot-on, with a simple tap of the right or left thumb activating the game's flippers.

Overall there's a lot of game here. Well made for those that like to sit down and play for hours or just play in quick bursts. If you enjoy strategy games, you'll enjoy Plants vs. Zombies.

At only 99c, it'd be silly not to buy RoboSockets. It offers a great new take on a tried and tested format. All I'd like to see added to it would be an Endless mode which would add some longevity to the title but a Time Attack mode goes some way to solving this.

It's meant to be a fun little game, great for kids and for those wanting to relive growing up in the 90′s for a little bit.

Predators is a little rough around the edges, but overall, it is a good game that makes great use of its license, and it being a universal app as well should be the start of a trend that other developers and publishers pick up on.

If you're willing to tough it out, though, and if you want a deeper, more satisfying gaming experience than the next Doodle app, then you should play Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. It just might make a gamer out of you.

Ridiculously good fun.

Even though it is far from the game-changer that its exemplary predecessor was, the core mechanics are as entertaining as they have ever been, cementing it as a solid successor to the Puzzle Quest throne.

It's certainly not the best RPG in the App Store (probably not even in the top 10), and It may just be a 75 page book wrapped up in 900 pages of fluff, but as far as mobile RPG's go, it gets the job done.

R-Type is still an insanely difficult shmup that is best consumed by those well-versed in the genre or looking to experience a classic entry in it, but those looking to experience this monument to old-school gaming will find a fantastic port awaits them.

A great way for people that may have missed the original game to check it out now, but veterans may be disappointed at how easy it has become.

Robokill provides an enjoyable experience if played in small doses.

Overall, RollOut is a sadistic take on puzzle platforming. Fifty levels, trophy support, and simple game play make this worthy of being on that iPhone. Just don't be surprised when your broken blood vessels kick in at the higher levels.

Flaws aside, Hit N' Run is a unique, well-developed endurance racer with superb graphics, animations and sound.

Aside from all the flower talk, BIG BAD Flower is an excellent game that thrives off its sense of style.

If you can get past the warm-and-fuzzies, I think you'll find Floe to be a pretty solid puzzle game. The accelerometer based control system makes it a no-go on most morning commutes, but Floe would work fairly well in the comfy confines of your favorite couch.

A great title to play if you're a fan of Lunar Landing style games. It offers a perfectly pitched difficulty curve and its developers haven't forgotten to consider presentational aspects, as demonstrated by the sterling comic book and soundtrack.

This physics puzzler is great to look at, and fun to play, if not a bit challenging. But, it wouldn't be much of a puzzler if it didn't puzzle you, I suppose.

A great concept and a great twist on the bullet hell formula. At its low price, it really is worth a shot and you'll no doubt find yourself impressed by the graphical style.

Quite fun at times, but its controls can make the game more frustrating than it ought to be. Still, if you love retro-inspired games, and especially the Llamatron and Robotron games, or just want something a little different from the typical arena shooter, Minotron: 2112 is a solid purchase – and at worst, it's interesting reading material.

While Collision Effect is fun and engaging in Action mode, its Puzzle sibling feels somewhat incomplete, as if it were thrown in as an afterthought to add depth to the game.

It is brilliant and beautiful, but the control issues put a real damper on my enjoyment of the game.

While it's got some room for improvement, it has a lot of good things going for it, has plenty of value and challenge in its 65 levels for $1.99 and is a concept that I hope gets explored even more in future updates and future games.

Excluding the weak mini games, Tapper World Tour is pretty good fun. It's not long before it's quite tough, but it is fairly addictive.

Delivers a fun, challenging experience for anyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. While the game can be played for free online via a flash version, the added tilt controls and portability of the iOS version makes it worth the buck it costs to own.

A great experience for fans of the movies, but there isn't much to go back to after the story ends. If you're a fan of point-and-click style games, and if you even remotely enjoy Back to the Future, then this game is great purchase.

Hot Springs Story isn't quite as gripping as Game Dev Story. Its subject matter being not quite as clearly enjoyable as the earlier game, plus it's really quite a serious sim, with no sign of the humor of Game Dev Story. However, in turn it's a deeper experience with more to it. This ensures that Hot Springs Story is still a great game to play, just not quite as wondrous as its predecessor.

Bird Zapper manages to be fun in a way that many similar games aren't, and I think that speaks to the attention to detail present here. Bird Zapper feels slick, and it's truly fun to play-even if it isn't the most original game in the App Store, Bird Zapper excels where it counts.

Operation Wow offers a great homage to arcade classic Operation Wolf.

Angry Birds Rio HD may not be all that innovative, but it's still Angry Birds. It's still remarkably fun and addictive. If you've played a ton of the original and Seasons versions and need more, then definitely give this one a whirl.

These are the kinds of titles that can set the platform apart as one of the truly unique experiences in gaming. It is definitely well worth a look, especially when you consider that the base game is actually free.

If you are eager to take on new challenges with your favorite birds, then dropping $0.99 on Angry Birds Rio is a no-brainer. For those who have Angry Birds fatigue and have had their fill, there is nothing dramatically new to pull you in.

Admittedly, it might feel a little bare, but Lane Splitter is a very fun, arcade-style iOS title. Definitely worth a buck.

With very rich, vibrant colors and some solid match 3 game play, Piyo Blocks 2 is a great game for anyone looking for a challenge.

It is very old school in its approach and doesn't ease you in gently. With 30 hours of gameplay on offer though, RPG fans would be mad to overlook it however. It's a tremendous piece of gaming history and still holds up well to this day.

You'll have your fun with it, but not too much until you pay.

Easily one of the better-designed platformers I've played on iPhone. And considering it's only a dollar, it's hard not to be impressed.

While Pac'n-Jump is hardly the most original game on the App Store, it certainly adapts from its inspirations well and offers plenty of fan service along the way. Fans of the endless ascension platformer genre could do far worse.

A great little retro arcade game – and I mean arcade in the truest sense. This feels like something that could have been made in the 1980′s and just recently unearthed. This is 'retraux' in incredibly fine form, and well worth checking out for fans of arcade games and fans of retro-styled games.

Air Penguin is the perfect example of a quality casual game. It's simple yet gives you reason to keep playing. Plus it's fun to drop into for five minutes at a time or for much longer too.

Simply put, You Don't Know Jack is the kind of experience that not only stretches the mind with challenge, but inversely massages it with humor to ease the blow of defeat.

There's certainly enough to enjoy here and with the promise of a level editor in a future update, there's a very good reason to keep Woozzle on your iOS device for a while to come.

It is an addictive, casual experience that lends itself to short bursts of portable gaming bliss.

The beauty of Ramps is that it's great for both quick plays and long sittings.

Games like Bunny The Zombie Slayer are an amusing illustration of how fun simplistic themed games can be successful as long as players are not fixated on an extended experience.

A great little idea. It's not going to win prizes for most beautiful app by any means but it has a rough charm to it. The key mechanic of sitching dimensions is great and really gives you food for thought. A bargain at the price.

As long as you can get past the occasional instance of camera uncooperativeness, Great Little War game very much lives up to its name.

The gameplay is perfectly suited for those ADD moments in life when you want to play a game or entertain yourself for a few minutes while you're waiting to do something else. This is a fun, easy to play game that nearly anyone can enjoy.

The core gameplay of Par Out Golf is quite fun and offers more challenge than you might actually expect. The cartoon inspired visuals also compound the charm tenfold, while the game is true to the sport by instilling elation one moment, followed soon thereafter by the burning hatred and frustration of a thousand suns.

The title is heavily inspired by Blizzard's World of Warcraft, but its portability adds a dose of novel freshness to a familiar outing.

It's lacking more than a few characters and the controls take some getting used to, but the overall experience is definitely a positive one. Especially for series veterans and third-person shooter fans.

If you are into "bullet hell" shooters, AirAttack is a great genre game. It's not so great that it transcends genres, but it is a solid game nonetheless.

While the game is relaxing, it isn't something I'm likely to play again. There's no obvious flaw with Zen Bound 2, but there's something that turns me off from a game that's in between something passive (like Crosswords or Scrabble) and something active (like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja).

A very simple game to play but it's fun too. Accruing increasingly better multiplier scores is satisfying and there's enough going on to maintain your interest. I'm looking forward to new updates already.

Destructopus is a fun game. The amount of levels means there are a good few hours to play through here and most importantly, it's enjoyable.

Piclings doesn't have a lot to meat to it, but it does have a unique concept that works well, and makes for an interesting technological concept. It needs some more work to be a fully-fledged game, but it is a fun curiosity.

iOOTP Baseball 2011 can often be convoluted, but I had tons of fun with it. As a huge baseball fan, I found myself engrossed and entirely addicted by the game. There could be a lot of work to improve the user interface, but that shouldn't deter other baseball fans from picking up and enjoy this game.

Monsterz Revenge doesn't quite go so far as to revolutionise the casual social gaming market but it does go some way to feeling more like a game than something that you simply sit back and watch progress. If you're a fan of the genre, you're going to love it.

This one has enough potential to be as huge as its older siblings: Angry Birds and Cut the Rope.

SimplePhysics is an original effort – one that I can't help but appreciate for the combination of creativity and challenge it offers.

Super Cosmic Word Snake is a simple, yet addictive game that's best played with two players. How often can that be said about an arcade game on iOS?

This one's a definite battery-drainer and well worth the price. Not counting the possibility of spending more money on credits, of course.

Bumpy Road is a lovely little, soothing game to play. Adding a storyline to an endless running game is a great touch and instantly makes the game that bit more endearing to players. For platforming fans, it's certainly worth the asking price.

Fulfilling.

I'm not likely to continue playing Touchgrind BMX on my iPhone because of how much of the screen my fingers cover. But I'll probably continue playing it on my iPad regardless of the awkward switchover.

A great mixture of some of my favorite strategy genres. Hopefully in future updates, Ankama will increase the level cap and add more levels and mini-games.

Anodia does everything just right. It sticks to a tried and tested formula but adds a much needed dose of originality to make it a great game in its own right.

There isn't anything excessively new and shocking in Red Ball 3, but the combination of concepts combined from similar titles makes an enjoyable experience. Game Center, Crystal, Achievements, and hidden gifts compliment the game nicely.

Until Wizards of the Coast finally creates an official Magic the Gathering adaptation for iOS, Orions 2 is likely as close as it gets.

Velocispider is a bit lacking in content, but not in fun. What started out as a fun game jam idea has turned into a great little retro arcade game for the App Store.

Without an "endless" mode or some other such business that we've all grown accustomed to in our iOS games, I worry that some players will simply expect to beat To-Fu: The Trials of Chi in a matter of days (or several consecutive hours) and move on to the next title. While this is certainly a possiblity, as it is with most popular App Store offerings, it's still bound to be an enjoyable experience.

A great calming experience. It's relaxing to just fly around and it's amazing how just going with the flow can immediately improve scores. It's an ideal game to chill out to while still feeling that great competitive edge.

Auditorium is unusual, soothing, inventive, and extraordinarily pretty. If you're looking for a sleek puzzle game, put this one on your list for sure.

Surprisingly, in the simplest of simple games, Berzerk Ball really does have a lot going for it. Its idea really isn't new or original, but the implementation of the simplistic game type is fantastic. This one deserves a thumbs up for sure.

A great game with responsive, simple controls and a fun atmosphere. There are some difficult spots due to the randomness of the levels, but this doesn't hinder the gameplay and adds to the life of the game.

Worth a download for the free Galaxian "G 30th" edition alone, though the value of buying all 3 extra games is debatable. The classic games do get a nice new twist on them for those otherwise familiar with the games.

Despite my prejudices about a branded title, this one does pretty much all the right things.

Joining Hands is distinct in that is really is a pure logic game. It takes trial and error and patience too. But it's a challenge and with the App Store bursting at the seems with physics, matching and action puzzlers, this is a novel treat.

Match Panic is simple yet addictive fun that the kids can easily pick up and enjoy, but is challenging and addictive enough that adults shouldn't pass up on the game, even if the icon for the game is a panda with a frog on its head.

Hanging With Friends is a neat twist on an old classic; Zynga With Friends did a great job at making the classic hangman game work in a competitive sense with asynchronous multiplayer.

An entertaining and unique take on the traditional matching game. There's an organic feel to the game that keeps it fresh through multiple sessions. The fantastic music also adds to the atmosphere. Players won't regret giving this one a try.
