The amount of content is the only negative that can be found with Dark Dot. It's an absolutely charming game that's well worth a download.

It's a unique take on a superhero flying game that provides quite a bit of action with a lot of space to explore and throw down some sweet power-up combos.

Pointless exploration and super-repetitive environments aside, Brandnew Boy is one heck of an action game.

Throwing rocks into moving buckets with faces has never been quite so much fun, no matter how weird it may sound!

Whether or not Fantastic Knight is "better" than those other action RPGs is entirely a matter of opinion. Whether or not it's "comparable" is a bit more cut-and-dry. Because it is comparable.

It's a little mindless but Darkness Reborn is mostly just good fun.

It may lack the depth of other iOS shooters, but LAWLESS packs in enough killer visuals and mindless explosive action to make it an exciting ride nevertheless.

If you're looking for a unique way to get to know someone, Fingle might be right up your alley. Kudos for a developer trying something new and different, even if only the most dexterous can successfully play it.

A surprisingly fun strategy board game, with a lot of replay value. So much depends on the other penguins' moves, and the placement of fish tiles is random, so replaying the same board doesn't get too boring. More than that, though, the premise is simply fun.

I find myself conflicted about Crafted. On the one hand it's more than a little questionable, what with the "almost-copied" everything. On the other, being in 2D does make it feel significantly different.

Matchblocks is where I like to see puzzle games heading: it's a very different execution, and it works extremely well. Don't let the word "Match" in the title be off-putting, this is not a match–3 game and it stands on its own as a fun original concept.

Newcomers might be a tad lost with some of the story elements, but that won't stop them from enjoying themselves. Plus they can always download every other game in the series for a grand total of "hardly anything."

If you are craving a platformer that pushes your skills to their limits, go pick up Golf Zero or something. The Big Journey just wants you to be happy, and it succeeds at doing that by providing a familiar formula in an adorable package.

Avernum: Escape from the Pit HD will be quite an epic experience for anyone who enjoys this older style of RPG. The storyline is interesting, combat system is complex and enjoyable, and the graphics and music fit this type of game well.

Drain Pipe Surf Dudes takes the popular tilt based endless runner motif and makes it cool and interesting. The ability to perform freestyle tricks might have been welcome, but what is there is an enjoyable experience. It's particularly great to dip into for short sessions of fun progressions.

So, while I think the control mechanic is a step back, Temple Run fans who are clamoring for new iterations on the genre to play should have a good time with One Epic Knight and what it brings to the table.

It's a calm and quite serene experience that still manages to infuriate at times. It's also the kind of game that's ideal for a group of people to join in as, like with many cryptic puzzles, a few extra brains can go a long way to seeing things a little differently.

If the biggest issue with Pig's Dreams is repetition, when the "fun level" is this high, there could be much worse problems to have. Plus, the "dream" world structure leaves plenty of room for expansion later on down the road. Clocking in at only ninety-nine cents, this is the kind of game that will certainly give you more than enough bang for the buck to justify an instant purchase.

At risk of sounding jaded, Blobster Christmas feels like a glorified level pack set to a soundtrack that repetitively resembles a holiday orchestra. If this were say, an Angry Birds game, this would have been a completely free update.

Rocket Island scratches that itch between casual strategy game that is just tap-and-move and far too full of dense information so that entire evenings are lost in the bat of an eyelash. There's just enough depth and charm to keep one entertained for a dozen minutes here and there, and the same amount of whimsy found in older god-simulation titles.
