With the 2012 Formula 1 season starting soon I hope the world championship update is sooner rather than later. While the game looks good, I do have some issues with the game play, especially with the sensitivity of the steering.

With more tracks, more variety and more reason to go back to earlier races, Retro Racing would be perfect, but as it stands the game is still a great little racer that will remind old timers like myself of the glory days of the Amiga.

Overall it is a good game. The production levels are high, and I like it as a 'simple idea done well'. I would love to have seen a bit more though; perhaps some more unlockables, different food items, secret bonuses or something.

The occasional 'scary' moments add some tense atmosphere, which the game really relies on. It's worth getting, as it will last a few hours.

Quite a smart little puzzle shooter. It lacks any real depth (apart from the 3 Star thing) so probably won't keep your attention that long. But it is quite a bit of fun while it lasts, and will kill more than a few minutes here and there as you dip in and out as you try to 'complete' the levels.

For a free game, Crabs and Penguins is well worth picking up. Although it's only 6 levels long, it provides plenty of replay value in collecting those hard to find items and gaining stars on each level. It only falls short in the lack of an option to compete against other players, something a game like this is crying out for.

Despite the control issues and a few odd choices, AXL: Full Boost is still a good racer that should satisfy most cravings for a Wipeout clone on iOS.

While you could berate Atari's game for being too basic, it's as much an asset as it is a criticism. Those looking for an update to the classic Asteroids will find much to admire in Asteroids: Gunner, especially with the agreeable freemium model in place.

A rather mixed bag. When it works well it's an impressive game that far outdoes any previous FPS Gameloft have put out, but there are too many bugs and issues still around to make it a consistently good experience.

I still find it strange that I like AnimalPop as much as I do. It's one of those games you can pick up and play instantly, and can continue to dip in and out of for weeks to come.

For those who love mini tasks, collecting missions and don't mind a more casual take on adventure games with little in the way of taxing puzzles, The Island: Castaway will happily entertain you for hours. Those gamers looking for something with a little more challenge may find this game lacking. That said, the initial game is free and it's worth visiting the island at least once.

Overall, The Dark Knight Rises overcomes a few minor issues and provides fans with something worthy of the Batman name in a suitably shadowy Gotham playground.

It's not going to win any prizes for in-depth gameplay, but Knights of the Round Cable is a lot of fun and up there with some of the best endless games out there. If you're a score attack fan then it's well worth checking out.

Human Defence's premise, great cartoon graphics and educational aspect sets it apart from other Tower Defence games and creates something which is unique and fun at the same time. Only the lack of detail on the viruses themselves dampens the fun.

While it doesn't deviate too much from the formula set by the original game, Caveman HD now feels like more than just a clone and is well worth a gander if you loved Lemmings.

It's no GTA by any means, but Gameloft have still managed to build a city worth playing in, especially if you have the new hardware to experience it in its full glory.

While Tango Chase isn't the most graphically impressive title out there, it keeps things colourful and fun and will certainly appeal to its target audience, the younger age ranges. As a free game (or 69p with no ads) Herotopia's game certainly does the monkey business and provides a fun title with a cute hero.

Blast Radius is an interesting take on the growing Tap Defence genre and the blast mechanic and upgrade system saves it from being just another game about tapping to survive. Though it won't pick up any prizes for style, it's still worth a play through and can get quite addictive once you get into the whole upgrade mechanic.

Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is not the game many were hoping for and may disappoint on first play, but give the game time and forgive it the cluttered menu and you have a decent original title that deserves a play through.

A fairly decent fighter that manages to recapture some of the nostalgia for late 80's gaming. A multiplayer, arcade and survival mode help provide longevity, though multiplayer doesn't seem to be that robust and is pretty random.

This is a title that focuses primarily on the fun inherent in the concept of possessing enemies. Whilst it most likely won't be appearing in the top 25 any time soon, it certainly is not one to dismiss instantly. For your money, you will be getting a hearty slice of retro-styled enjoyment of the kind that is not particularly prevalent anymore.

Escape With Me tries to add something new to the Labyrinth style of game and for the most part it manages this. The game's levels are well designed and fun to play, but aimed more at the casual end of the market. With three sets of levels, each with a different theme and new challenges, it's worth rolling over to the App Store to check this title out.

Ultimately, Zombie Crisis 3D is like a B-Movie; it lacks substance and style in the game but makes up for it in sheer unadulterated zombie-killing fun.
