This will be the game that everyone will be playing, talking about and demanding for Christmas and the rest of 1999. -

From the beginning the music grabs you and sucks you in. It's so poppy and strange that you can't help but instantly like it, although you may not know why. -

Neversoft deserves a standing ovation for this one... Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is an epiphany. -

The genius is in the innovative gameplay and Ape Escape overflows with it. -

Aside from the high level of difficulty (which let's face it, is pretty common in these sorts of games) there isn't anything I don't like about Einhander. Gameplay based on fast reaction times, weapon choice and nerves of steel can't be a bad thing. This game gets your blood pumping just like "RE2" does, except for different reasons. -

Fans will appreciate that Capcom loaded this game with bonuses for the most diligent players. You'll find more modes to play and more characters to choose from such as Evil Ryu, Guile and more, so how's that for replay value? Not only did Capcom go overboard on extras but just wait until you see the art that appears before each fight in this game. It's classic. -

One of the best games I've ever played. Everything about this game is top notch (except the ending): the story, voice acting, graphics, control and even the camera is excellent. -

The two things that really impressed me about NFSIII are the sheer size of the tracks. They are HUGE. You won’t have time to get bored with the scenery in this game. It changes FAST. The other detail I was impressed with was the feeling of Speed. -

These are hands down the nicest looking tracks I've seen yet. They even beat GT. -

Graphically this game is really well done. The PlayStation probably isn't going to get much better at this point. -

Critic Score 90
It offers loads of action, miles of ground to explore, great locales, an interesting story (that develops as you play with cut-scenes and is not just hastily thrown in to flesh out the manual), wonderful control and a lot of bang for your buck. -

It's seriously fun, has tons of gaming options and is nice and lengthy with a healthy does of challenge attached to it. Major bang for your gaming dollar. -

This game has some rough edges but on the whole you won't find a deeper FPS on the PlayStation. This takes the good old "Castle Wolfenstein" theme and breaks entirely new ground. For those thinking that "Tomorrow Never Dies" is gonna fulfill your "GoldenEye" dreams, forget it. Medal of Honor is the one. -

It’s a generation above "Nightmare Creatures" and a half generation below "MGS". -

If you could combine the challenge and exciting environments of XL with the high res, analog control and new innovations of 3, I dare say you'd have the best racing game ever made. -

Critic Score 80
A good game, not a phenomenal game, just a plain and simple good game. Though, a little on the cute side, the challenge out weights such matters. -

Critic Score 80
Fans of NFS3 will rejoice, but be warned that this game is an almost seamless continuation of the last game. -

Those looking for the intense action of RE may be disappointed. If disturbing atmosphere is your thing, with an emphasis on 3D exploration and puzzle solving, then SH will be worth a whirl. -

Don't let the fact that it's based on a movie throw you. It's much better than you think. -

Casual gamers may be scared away by the lack of flash but Xenogears is still one of the better RPG's I have played. I recommend it to anyone looking for a deep, Anime-like story to be wrapped up in. -

FF Origins would not stand a chance today if it were a new release but it proves that good games don't always need major production values. -

It's disappointing that some of the bloodshed from the first GTA has been toned down in Grand Theft Auto 2. There's no pleasant way to detail this: In the first game, dead policemen, gangsters and pedestrians decomposed. Lying on the pavement, they bled, made a big mess and later disappeared. Granted, the process was a little too quick to be realistic, but there was just something wonderful about revving up your Corvette with its back wheels planted on some poor sap's corpse, then spinning out with a trail of blood matching your tire tracks. Gross? Yes. Sick? Maybe. Fun? Definitely. -

This game plays much like it’s predecessors, and carries on the TR tradition nicely. However, it’s high difficulty and dark environments may scare off the first time players out there. Heck, it might even scare off seasoned vets! -

It's still a good overall baseball title, but it's been good for four years now. I want it to be better. -

Treasure Planet should be put in a sealed, wooden crate and buried in your neighbor's backyard. -

An old game that was originally released in Japan more than eight years ago. It has not been tweaked or updated in the least. It looked like crap then and it looks like crap now. -
