Riff: Everyday shooter lives up to his name on the PSP. Too bad that there aren't any differences whatsoever between this version and the PSN version. Even if the game would cost a little bit more, than it would still be worth your money. Gamers that are looking for an interesting 2D-shooter should consider buying Riff. Don't forget that you'll need a PlayStation 3 to copy the game to your PSP. -

G-Force is a solid movie tie-in that will please the 10- to 12-year-olds. The game doesn't do anything particularly well, but isn't doing anything wrong either. Don't expect a challenging game though, because of the repetitive elements and the helping hand that are offered it doesn't pack a punch. Of course, that’s to be expected in a children’s game. -

Rag Doll Kung Fu is fun to play with when you got some friends over, but besides that the game doesn't do anything special. The movements are funny, just like the cheesy Kung Fu-jokes. In the end Rag Doll Kung Fu is a shallow and chaotic fighting game, that has neither a decent multiplayer nor an interesting single player mode. -

The Ball starts off way too slowly to keep players interested for a long time. The puzzles are too easy and repeat themselves, and the combat with a gigantic ball as your only weapon isn't really engaging. H.A.W.X. 2 corrects most of the flaws from the first game. The strong variety in missions and challenging dogfights make it the best game the genre has to offer up to now, but there is still room for improvement. Especially the lack of competitive multiplayer modes and the cumbersome lobbysystem fall short in comparison to the rest it offers. It doesn't take away from the fact that others will have a hard time to take back the throne. -

Mothership Zeta has some big pros and cons. The content it delivers is meager and gives the idea that they could have done a lot more with the variation in locations. The atmosphere and humor partly make up for this. Overall this mothership has become a place where you can enjoy yourself for a couple of hours, but because of its linear nature Mothership Zeta never comes close to the qualities of the main game. -

The laid-back nature of the game, combined with the use of color and lounge music ensure a relaxed experience. But the easy puzzles and overfamiliar gameplay make it a little bit too relaxed. When a succesfull game is ported to a different platform it doesn't necessarily means that it's going to work. Especially with a game like the Buzz! series. Ment to be a party game, there is not mucht left to party on a PSP when you're all by yourself. And handing over your PSP in the multiplayer modus isn't going to fix that. This Buzz is going out with a sizzle. -

Unfortunately Age of Empires II HD isn't a very impressive update. It disappoints graphically and not much has been done to improve or modernize it. The gameplay is still strong though, and Age of Empires II still shows how balanced and detailed strategy games can be. Ninja Blade offers a mix between God of War and Ninja Gaiden and is, in more than one way, pretty action packed. Perhaps too action packed. In between the cut scenes and the end bosses there is little room for 'normal' gameplay, making it hard to really enjoy the game for the hack and slash fans. Ninjas with an appetite for destruction and giant monsters will be more than satisfied while playing Ninja Blade. -

A breakdancing rhythm game without any gimmick to make it stand out from the Guitar Heroes and Rock Bands of this generation. In Deadlight you play as an ordinary man instead of an indestructible hero, who just wants to survive in a rotten world. Fair is fair, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is a game of below average quality. But because it doesn't pretend to be anything more than that, we'll let that slide. But even for a game in which simplism is the main attraction, it still does too many things wrong. Wreckateer is a Kinect-game that actually works. That alone makes it better than most other Kinect-games. It resembles Angry Birds so much that Microsoft should give a portion of its proceeds to Rovio, but that doesn't mean that Wreckateer isn't a lot of fun to play in short sessions. Resident Evil 6 is the biggest ode to fans you can think of. Zombie Apocalypse could have been entertaining and great. In comparison to other zombie games the developers deliver a game in which you will kill more zombies than ever for less money. It's clear that Supercar Challenge tries to compete with the big boys. The game just doesn't achieve that level. Every good element in this game has its con and this doesn't help the overall quality. 3 on 3 NHL Arcade is not a very bad game, but lacks some fundamental gameplay elements. The controls are, in combination with the specific type of gameplay, far from practical. There’s no shortage of ambition here, but the game is too simple and repetitive to really consider it fun. The game wants to be an RPG sometimes, but it always results in dumb, simple action without any tactic. Avatar is a misses opportunity. -

Zombie Apocalypse could have been entertaining and great. In comparison to other zombie games the developers deliver a game in which you will kill more zombies than ever for less money. It's a shame Zombie Apocalypse gets repetitive very soon though, and gives you the idea you're just running in circles. The multiplayer make up for it a little, but we can't call it more than a mediocre game. -

First of all, BAJA is in no way an instant classic. But it can give you that satisfying feeling after you won a match. The steep learning curve will scare of some gamers and if you're looking for more arcade just head over to the Motorstorm camp. But if you're a fan of the off-road genre just take a shot at BAJA. -

Velvet Assassin is in one word: weak. The story never reaches its full potential and furthermore the technical side is flooded with flaws. And even though the game has its moments of tension, the game fails horribly in being worth your money. Try to sneak past this one if you can. -

It’s almost like Taito didn’t know why Arkanoid is fun. With Space Invaders Extreme they really went in a new direction and made a great remake of a classic game, but Arkanoid DS is too conservative and the innovations that are there only undermine the concept. -

Fable: The Journey is a good Kinect game. It is obvious Lionhead built the game around Microsoft's peripheral device and knows how to make full use of its capabilities. The gameplay is intuitive, even though it is somewhat repetitive. It's not the perfect Kinect game, but Lionhead's Albion adventure shows other developers how to make good use of the device.- Posted Oct 25, 2012

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 looks like it mostly targets the fans of the anime. There's nothing wrong with the presentation, long story mode, roster of available fighters and attainable extras. However, the lousy gameplay and lack of challenge take most of the fun out of it. -

At first glance Watchmen looks like a nice surprise with its beautiful style and delicious combat system. But after a while the repeating level design and gameplay elements will have you thinking otherwise. Nevertheless, we'll be waiting for episode two, because we're convinced that there is light and the end of the tunnel. -

Still haven't got a Wii-mote Plus or a Wii-mote Plus accessory? Then the Wii Play Motion might just be interesting for you. For fifty Euros, you'll get the controller including twelve mini-games of fluctuating quality. That's all one should expect from it.- Posted Jul 7, 2011

Risen is a RPG like you would expect from Piranha Bytes: an interesting world that dynamically reacts to your actions, filled with enough quests, areas and secrets to keep you busy for hours. But it's also filled with bugs and design flaws that will ruin the experience for most gamers. -

Ubisoft hasn't succeeded in getting the full potential from Shaun White Snowboarding. Some gameplay elements, like the enormous freedom and control, aren't that fantastic in the end. But the good online mode and the beautiful surroundings make up for it. -

Captain America: Super Soldier delivers solid entertainment, be it short. The original story lacks a proper introduction and the smooth combat-system feels somewhat borrowed, but that doesn't spoil the fun. The flat AI and graphical issues do, unfortunately.- Posted Jul 21, 2011

The biggest fans of Bakugan might not be bothered with this game’s many flaws, but the average gamer won’t have a lot of fun playing Battle Brawlers. After a promising start, the game starts to get boring very fast. The repetitive and frustrating minigames don’t help either, but the worst offender is the fighting itself: it should be the highlight of the game but it’s over in a blink. -

Despite the power of the blue Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed never really impressed us. The game has its moments, but these moments are so rare and easily forgotten when you've reached the point where you almost throw your controller against the tv. The race levels are awesome, but with the heavy load of the uninspiring Werehog levels, those aren't even enough to give the game a sufficient grade. -

The most important reason why Beijing 2008 doesn't work is that the events become plain boring after a few tries. After an hour of playtime your fingers will hurt from the button bashing. The multiplayer is alright, but you would do well to spend your money elsewere, unless you're a complete (Olympic) sportsfan. -

Zack Zero is an uncomplicated action-platformer with lots of variation. The game might come across a slightly formulaic, but that doesn't negate all the fun you'll have completing all of the challenges to save your beloved Marlene.- Posted Apr 21, 2012

The world of Zeno Clash II is one big acid-trip. It's one of the most bizarre games in which your fists are the two primary weapons. Behind the absurd look there's an interesting story, but Zeno Clash II drops the ball on certain key gameplay mechanics.- Posted May 13, 2013

Space Siege is an outerspace Dungeon Siege clone. In short: there is a spaceship cramped with aliens and your the cleaning guy. With Chris 'Supreme Commander' Taylor behind te wheel Space Siege sounds promising. Unfortunatly Space Siege gives little satisfaction. All the necessary ingredients for a decent RPG are there, but there is no chef to make a nice meal out of it. -

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is a forced sequel to the 1988 classic. Choices have been made that affect the original concept and technical issues hold it back. When you first play Time Crisis 4, you get the feeling it's basically all the same. It's not until further in the game that you get a nice new gaming experience. The game is a succesfull conversion to the console, but the arcade style hasn't changed since the first game of the series. Also the high price of the game might be a reason for many players not to buy Time Crisis 4. -

Need for Speed Undercover is a big step backwards for the series. It's almost as if the franchise has the same disease as FIFA had a couple of years ago. EA promises a lot new features but in the end there just isn't enough to justify a new game. Thankfully the FIFA-syndrom offers perspective, because after a few mishaps the franchise has produced an instant classic. That's why we keep hope for a worthy Need for Speed game in the near future. -

Unlike the Inazuma RPG's on the Nintendo DS, Inazuma Eleven Strikers on the Wii turns out to be just a soccer game. Although, it can't really be called normal, with the options to call in dragons or cause earthquakes to beat your opponents.- Posted Oct 17, 2012

The jetpack might be a nice gimmick, but it’s not innovative enough to carry an entire game, especially since vertical cover can only be used in certain places. Everything else in Dark Void is as generic as generic can be. The level design, enemies, weapons and story, nothing stands out particularly. But for an eight hour single player-only experience, it should have. -
