It doesn't look bad, and it certainly doesn't sound bad, but combat is alternately vicious or easy.

Single-player gameplay is great, but with online bugs and multiplayer bugs, you may want to buy a 12 pack of Keystone light or five frosties from Wendy's instead of throwing down on this unfinished game.

Need for Speed ProStreet does very little right on the PSP. If you're in dire need of a racing game, it'll do the job, but there are many more racing titles on the system that are much, much better.

In the end though, Indy 500 Legends is still constrained on DS as it was on Wii, as its historic roots make it true-to-form, but thin on overall fun.

The menu screens look great, visually it's decent, but the overly complex controls are bad and it has none of the destructible environments the series if known for.

Avenging Spirit is silly as all get-out, but technical issues get in the way of the fun.

It's a solid engine for a five-on-five version of the sport, but without any control over punts and extra-point attempts/field goals, the game is incredibly limiting.

It's definitely a step backwards from what's already been done on the system. It may have been more beneficial had the designers worked with the GBA's strengths in a significantly different style of gameplay for Serious Sam's first Game Boy adventure.

It gives players more function for organization and storage, but only the true diehards will take advantage of the extra space the GameCube memory card offers.

The Rock Band Classic Rock track pack is a decent value as long as you dig all 20 songs. With that being said, don’t assume you’re getting the full Rock Band experience with this game, because you aren’t.

Rock of the Dead isn't bad; it's just flat. The music isn't good, the visuals aren't good, and the gameplay isn't all that interesting.

Dead or Alive Paradise is a poorly conceived, undersized grouping of mini-games that aren't aided by the visuals' ability to sell the characters' sex appeal.

It has little ambition and middle-of-the-road execution. Nothing about this mini-game compilation stands out above any of the others we've seen on Wii – or Nintendo 64, for that matter.

Shade: Wrath of Angels, is not a good game. It's not a game that I would recommend to anyone. I would recommend Blade of Darkness or even the lackluster Rune, both of which are years old, over Shade in an instant.

I think it's possible to have a success shooter on PSP. But if fundamental elements like a functional camera and control systems aren't there, the game just won't work.

If you're a fan of the Heroes series these Chronicles are mildly enjoyable, sort of like the pleasure you get from watching sitcom reruns that you've seen several times already.

There are bugs and instability, and interesting environments can't overcome bland gameplay, weak AI, and lack of polish.

Despite a great cast of characters, J-Stars Victory Vs.+ fails to leverage their charm on or off the battlefield.

Look at those kids! Those may be the ugliest, dopiest-looking children I've ever seen used in any video game. (And no, neither one is wearing a mask.)

Minecraft: Pocket Edition misses the mark. Without enemies, item crafting or resource gathering, the building experience will quickly bore most gamers.

A disappointment. It's a game that wrongs its user over and over again so that after only a few short hours, the novelty of analog combat wears extremely thin.

A bland title with weak and nonsensical mechanics, as well as generic visuals and sound. This doesn't impart a sense of these missions, nor does it cover enough of the Civil War to do the battle justice.

It's mostly AI problems that doom it, which goes as far as not only destroying your ability to command troops, but the fundamental design of the game as a whole.

The visuals are fine, the control is solid, and there are loads of gameplay options and some neat play mechanics being used, but the experience is almost completely devoid of what we like to think is a very important part of any game -- fun.

Some strategy fans may want to give it a look since it's priced at a reasonable level of just 20 bucks, but most gamers will want to steer clear -- its rough interface with touchy touch controls, confusing navigation, hands-off combat and mostly frustrating mini-games all come together to form a title that is, ultimately, better left in the past.

The very basic golf gameplay is full of frustrating moments without high points to balance them out, the graphics are rudimentary without stylistic charm, and the jokes in the goofy story and commentary don’t land often enough to save it.
    • 53 Metascore
    • 50 Critic Score
It’s designed to provide a rock-paper-scissor style gameplay experience, but players will likely end up feeling cheated and overly frustrated by the core gameplay. There are too many balancing issues and cheap moves given to some characters to keep players around for more than a couple of hours.

The story and presentation are well drawn, but poorly executed. On the other hand the controls are wonderfully precise -- they're just not that fun. Everything works in Major Minor which is commendable, but the overall sum of its parts is less than stellar.

The aerial action is okay, but you're really missing out on a lot of mission pacing, replay value and even challenge with this easily completed game.
