To fully appreciate Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, players really need to be huge fans of the IP, and espacially of the first three episodes released on PS2. If playing them remains a pleasure, this HD remake won't be a big surprise for those who were waiting for major graphical improvements.

It's a nice month for fighting game lovers. After playing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, they can move forward to Arcana Hearts 3 Love Max. On the inside, they'll find a technical title with a lot of combos possible to pull off.

Mario has become so important for Nintendo that there's not a year without the famous plumber coming to a game console owned by Big N. If we were happy to see the hero coming back, we quickly realized New Super Mario Bros 2 only takes the successful mechanisms of the previous title without the originality. Especially when chasing gold coins is not really fascinating.

Despite the fact that Capcom Digital Collection gathers titles that are not necessarily close to perfection, being able to play HD versions of Super Street Fighter II, Final Fight or Flock are make spending some money on this compilation of famous arcade games worth it.

It's a real pleasure to meet again with George Stobbart et Nico, above all when it's in a 2D game, which cleverly comes back to the origins. But let's face the truth : Broken Sword 5 is a very nice point'n click, but it's still not perfect. Puzzles are too easy and the game is technically old fashioned.

Crysis 3 follows the path of its predecessor. Visually stunning on consoles and absolutely gorgeous on powerful PCs, Crysis 3 is a true landmark. But despite its sexy outline, this FPS runs out of innovative gameplay and a proper scenario. To sum up, Crysis 3 is a beautiful hollow thing.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse may be a modest game, but it's a nice game nevertheless. In spite of a story which doesn't really matter and a "Chtulhu touch" underused, Magrunner does well with his gameplay and it's enough to give us some good moments. And forgive the weakness of the last part of the game.

Gears of War Judgment looks like a transition episode and something bigger is probably waiting for us on Xbox 720. In the meantime, we'll have to deal with a disappointing campaign which only allows us to destroy waves of Locusts without being entertaining. Gameplay is still very accurate but some better things have been made elsewhere since the first Gears of War, and Judgment seems to be the game too far.

With better polish and an add genius touch, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified could have been a great game. But for now, it's old technique, it's bugs and numerous incoherencies don't let this game into the hall of fame of videogames. Happily, the worthy gameplay, the 60's ambiance and the XCOM universe are here to salvage the game. The mix between action and strategy works well, and the choice in dialogues brings a cool RPG touch. In the end we go through missions with quite an enjoyment in spite of all this, and we don't leave the bureau that easily.

UEFA Euro 2012 is an excellent soccer game, especially for players that already bought FIFA 12, giving them the chance to spend only twenty dollars to get it. For the others, the need to buy FIFA 12 to enjoy it, will make the argument more difficult to make. The few imperfections are not easy to forget, considering the fact this kind of players have to pay a lot more to play UEFA Euro 2012. Still, it remains a good game as a FIFA 12 in disguise.

With Sorcery, the PS Move comes back to life, offering a diversified gameplay. Despite some minor problems, the title remains entertaining thanks to the great use of the PS Move controller and a thrilling adventure. Sorcery is not the best game of 2012 on PS3 for sure, but from now on, players have good reasons to get the PS Move out of the drawer.

It's not a bad idea to bring some new stuff into the tactical genre. Above all, when it's done by such a talented studio that Intelligent Systems. However, gameplay here is far too irregular to be a new standard. As all their productions, Codename S.T.E.A.M. requires a high level of focus and anticipation to master the battlefield. But we can only regret the lack of attention towards writing, background and visuals.

While being full of good features and clever ideas, Elite Dangerous feels like its release has been rushed in order to get ahead of Star Citizen. The games lack player interactions and the happenings have very little impact on the gameplay, maybe the humongous 400 billion systems map should have been scaled to the numbers of players. A game that shows great potential, but has yet to achieve it.

Certainly, DiRT Showdown is not the best racing game of 2012. However, Codemasters proves it knows how to develop a good one. If there's nothing bad to say regarding its content, choices in terms of gameplay can be questioned. indeed, some good ol' drivers could easily fall asleep whereas newcomers will enjoy the spectacular races DiRT Showdown has to offer, introducing a new social network, Racenet, to the multiplayer mode.

As a DC Comics crossover game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is quiet fun to play like the previous title of the IP developed by TT Games. Even if the usual weaknesses remain, the title brings interesting features like full dialogues that offer a pleasant experience in the series, sometimes to the detriment of humor. Finally, the open-world universe lets players discover Gotham City, LEGO-style, despite some problems with camera positions and characters that happen to be stuck into walls.

Casual players won't clearly be amazed by the graphics offered by Game of Thrones. As regards the RPG players, the ones that could spend entire nights playing, they will be happy to find intuitive game mechanics. The tactical aspects of fight sequences are also really enjoyable to learn and the players' choice are well-embedded in the story, faithful to the saga. This is what truly matters.

Despite its new cooperative gameplay, Epic Mickey 2 is not the epic sequel we were waiting for. The title developed by Junction Point studios lacks real ambition, especially regarding its technical innovations compared to the previous episode on Wii. And yet, Epic Mickey 2 offers enough hints to famous Disney productions and beautiful landscapes to satisfy players, and it will occupy them for hours thanks to its great game length and a amazing world to paint just as you like.

With its tons of content and its inventive gameplay, Disgaea 3 : Absence of Detention is a great game. But this version is totally dispensable for PlayStation 3 owners and for newcomers who can be frustrated by the disappearance of the french translation. More characters, more stories, but for a limited audience.

With no surprise the guys at Traveller's Tales are delivering a LEGO game that's still decent. But this year the studio has snoozed a bit with a game deprived from any innovation. Happily the Marvel license was chosen this year, and it can brig a special taste to the game by itself. Over a hundred characters from Stan Lee's imagination, a new scenario, a good gameplay and a nice lifespan, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a good LEGO game, maybe one of the most fun to play, but not necessarily a classic of the series, be it current gen' version or next gen'.

A DLC that's strictly made for the hardcore fans of the series. With a single campaign, 3 companies and a fourth one sold as a DLC, it all comes pretty expensive for not much content. Grab it if you're fond of the IP, wait for a Steam discount otherwise.

It's hard to understand why EA wants to make FIFA more casual, more accessible, as the series is a record seller every year. It's also quite hard to get why FIFA World Cup: Brazil 2014 is sold as an entire game whilst it's more like a big DLC. Of course, all the official content make the game interesting as long as you take it for what it is: a fancy football game far from the demanding gameplay of FIFA 14.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale won't dethrone the Super Smash Bros. IP, but finally offers a great alternative, especially players looking for some crossover fighting games. The title proposes some good ideas such as its battle system mainly focused on combos. However, the fighting sequences lack the necessary dynamism.
