If you like the Guitar Hero games there’s a good chance you’ll love DJ Hero and I recommend it as probably the best music game I’ve ever played.

DJ Hero 2 may not make major steps forward, but the additions, refinements and minor tweaks that FreeStyle Games have made really build on the solid foundations that the first game laid down to make DJ Hero 2 an even better experience then before and in my opinion, currently the best music game around.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Vietnam transports players to a whole new setting and delivers the same large scale, intense action fans expect, but yet expands the experience by emphasizing team play and skill to make it a truly worthy add-on.
    • Metascore: 85

The action is fast-paced and easy to get to grips with, but my major gripe is with the lack of modes on offer and the rubbish rewards for completing the main Arcade mode.

The game is almost flawlessly presented and the CG movie that opens it is probably one of the best to grace the PlayStation 2.

Whilst it can become a little repetitive and the difficulty a little too unforgiving it is overall great fun to smash the game world to pieces whilst bringing down the EDF.

Madden NFL 10 may not have taken huge leaps and bounds forward, but the game does build on last years solid instalment. Tweaks in a few key areas, most notably the games AI mean the game provides a more realistic and fluid experience of the NFL.

An undeniable classic somewhat ruined by a terrible, terrible (though unavoidable, really) control system, accompanied by a few fun extras showing off what the console can do.

Although the basic gameplay borrows heavily from other franchises it is still done with such style and panache it is hard to find faults.

The games sound by far outshines the graphics with everything from idle non playable character conversations to discreet footsteps pacing through the dark environments.

Volition and THQ have pulled it off with superb results and whilst it can become a little repetitive and the difficulty a little too unforgiving it is overall great fun to smash the game world to pieces whilst bringing down the EDF.

inFamous is something of a mixed bag, lots of good ideas some implemented brilliantly others a little underdeveloped but despite these weaknesses, inFamous still manages to deliver a gripping and worthwhile playing experienced that will keep you electrified until the end!

Fallout: New Vegas, looks and plays exactly the same as Fallout 3. But the additions that Obsidian have made push the survival angle even further to provide a much more immersive and authentic experience, and just like its predecessor New Vegas proves to be a role-playing masterpiece.

This version of Tiger Woods seems to have become something of a victim of its own success and the result is that the game is very, very similar to that of last years game.

F1 2010 sees formula One return as a videogame for the first time in three years and for fans the results could not have been better! F1 2010 is not the most playable or authentic F1 game to date but a top racing game that will appeal to any petrol head.

Battlefield 1943 may not be the most extensive multiplayer shooter available but none the less at its price it reflects tremendous value as it provides one of the best multiplayer experiences around, without doubt a must play title for any shooter fan.

Pandora’s Box feels like Layton V1.2 if I’m honest, as there is so little different from the previous game, but there’s nothing wrong with that, as the game and puzzles are still such high quality.

Need for Speed: SHIFT takes this classic franchise in a whole new direction, whilst this may leave a bitter taste in the mouths of some fans, for the most part the games developers have served up a pretty authentic racing experience.

I, like many gamers had high expectations for Gran Turismo 5 but it seems that these have not been meet, mainly by a need to get the game on the shelves in time for the busy Christmas period and whilst GT5 does still provide an excellent driving experience with probably some of the best vehicle performance and handling to grace a videogame, certain aspects simply don't feel like a Gran Turismo game should, which may leave some feeling a little disappointed.

Where The Warriors excels is in its accessibility. There’s so much stuff to do in the game, and the manner in which you do it is very intuitive.

Ultimately the decision to buy the game, will again boil down to whether or not you can live with old player rosters or simply must have the latest line-ups. If like me you find football play confusing then Madden 11 may well be worth a look, others though should probably hold on to their cash and see what next years instalment brings.

During play you can’t help thinking there’s more to come but unfortunately, as good as the game is; there isn’t.
