Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a solid shooter that requires players to take a more tactical approach then some other recent releases. However, it can also be an extremely frustrating experience due to the very unforgiving AI which may have the less hardcore shooter fan struggling to stick with it. -

For a game with such a new perspective and new approach to the MySims franchise, the ideas it incorporates are used so much that they become old after the first few hours of play, which is disappointing and means that this never fully achieves its full potential. -

At first glance, Etherlords II looks pretty much like an RPG title, but take a few moments to play and you’ll soon discover an absorbing turn based strategy game similar to "Magic: The Gathering." -

There are some things I loved about the game and equally the same amount of things I found irritating. It’s hard to recommend to fans of third person shooters in general. But, fans of the movies and story driven games will definitely find the game more appealing. -

This title has the dubious honour of being the most cynical, poorly produced mess that I have clapped eyes on for at least five years. -

If you’re after a shooting experience where progress is guaranteed and OTT set pieces are key, then this may not be the ideal game for you. If you’re looking for a proper challenge and a more serious slant on combat gameplay (and can cope with some sadistically spaced checkpoints), then Flashpoint is a very solid game in a relatively sparsely occupied field. -

Green Day: Rock Band has a more rock feel to it than The Beatles game did and provides fans of the band with a mostly solid set list to play through. It doesn't introduce anything new to the Rock Band formula we've come to know and to sum up all I can say is, it does what it say on the box. Gives fans of the band access to their songs. -

If you own either the Xbox 360 or Ps3 and are a keen football fan then the Wii version isn’t the right choice for you. This is thoroughly deserving of a place in your DS slot and you’ll probably still be playing this when they actually invent warp drive engines! -
-
-
Critic Score 70
The football side of things is fairly solid, but sadly the game includes too many duties that simply aren’t part of being the manager of a football club. Then there’s the personal life aspect to deal with and coupled together they really stop the title competing with rival games. Often leaving you overwhelmed and spoiling the playing experience on offer, which is a shame as it will probably drive football mad gamers else where. -

Critic Score 70
So, what is it really like to be an evil genius? Well you can have a fantastic lair, hordes of loyal workers and tons of money but to be honest, it can be boring at times, you see, the truly evil one never gets to do any of the dirty work, they just sit and watch; and what makes it worse is workers that don’t seem to have much between their ears making the ‘watching’ a frustrating task. -
-
-
Critic Score 82
The games only real faults lie in the ground missions, while they could have easily been solved with a little time from the developer and will probably annoy casual gamers they shouldn’t be enough to spoil the game for real Star Wars fans who should get plenty of enjoyment out of the games missions and bonus features. -

It does a lot to build on the tactics focused gameplay found in the original game with improvements in the enemy AI, this bundled with the difficulty and size of the missions should provide plenty of intense strategy action despite the complete absence of a multiplayer mode. -

Overall HAWX 2 tries to build on the solid foundations laid by the original game by adding more variety, but ultimately it fails to recreate the action packed feeling the first game did so well and simply doesn't make the same impact.- Posted Oct 21, 2010

It packs a lot of variety and is well worth a look and at its budget price it becomes a must have for Terminator fans. -

For someone looking for a decent adventure game, they could do a lot worse than this, but I found it to be an uphill struggle thanks to the lack of horror, slow pacing and over emphasis on combating evil spirits even the boss battles fail to mix things up enough in my opinion. -

There are some changes I feel would be beneficial before release, mainly to the battle system. But it looks as if East India Company is shaping up to be a solid strategy title. -

FUEL is a very good addition to open world and off-road racing genres. But despite the overall enjoyment I got from the game, I can’t help but feel that it lacks the competitive elements that have enabled so many racing games to succeed. -

A decent game with realistic if not frustrating driving sequences and an intriguing storyline. -

Repetition and the simplicity of the gameplay may put off a few gamers but on the whole the game is good enough to go back to more than once enhancing its replay value with a good selection of unlockables. -

Yes, there is some humour but the gameplay, graphics, and audio and almost everything else is dull, repetitive and uninspiring! It is not terrible but is terribly average. All in all, you’re best off avoiding this Hazard! -

Alpha Protocol maybe a role-playing game in name, but for me it felt far to much like an average third person shooter. -

Overall Phantasy Star Portable will only appeal to fans of the franchise. There’s simply not enough to entice most to play, mainly to its repetitive nature and the depth it requires to get the most out of the title. -

Critic Score 70
Aliens vs. Predator may not have met my expectations or fond memories of the 1999 original and I can’t help feel a little disappointed in this game which feels like it needed more time to refine and think out some core ideas. -
-
-
Critic Score 54
Something that will prove infuriating regardless is the utter unfairness of the game’s final boss, a confrontation that only serves to highlight the game’s major problems. -
-
-
Critic Score 65
All in all, this is a mixed package and as I said at the beginning I found it hard to get into. It is an RPG that taken on its own merit is an interesting experiment of combining elements of MMORPG into a console game. -
-
-
Critic Score 68
With a clever plot and some impressive visuals the game could be appealing and addictive though tiresome at times. Unfortunately, if you have seen the film and you already know exactly how the plot unfolds and you have already seen those most surprising, awesome scenes, this game has little thrills. -
-
-
Critic Score 66
While The Saga of Ryzom is probably more simplistic then most MMORPG's its a lot more approachable to those new to the genre, however this is likely to deter those looking for something to challenge them. -
-
-
Critic Score 66
It doesn’t really excel in any one area or instantly grab your attention. -
-
-
Critic Score 64
The unforgiving nature of the game and the constant restarts of certain areas are bad enough but add the constant unskippable cutscenes that you are forced to watch in full every time you die just tips it over the edge for me. -
-
-
Critic Score 50
An interesting idea that fails spectacularly. Not only does the central concept reduce each match to an almost painful war of attrition, but Team 17 seem to have concentrated so heavily on making its new gimmick work correctly that the rest of the game has fallen by the wayside. -

The multiplayer aspect does offer some hope, but this is definitely one title that seems destined for the scrap heap. -

A few opportunities have been missed, however, most obvious of which is the rather small number of tracks, given their individual lengths. -

Despite having a very similar feel Family Game Night 2 offers an overall better experience then last years game due to the selection of games on offer in the title. Don’t expect a thrilling single player experience though as this isn’t what the games about. -

Critic Score 72
It seems ironic that in Square Enix’s attempts to make a game appealing to fans of two genres they have actually created a game that features pretty standard gameplay and may not attract its intended audience. -

Avatar – The Game seems to have all the building blocks in place to provide gamers with a decent movie licence for once, and the first few minutes of play may trick you into thinking that’s exactly what you’ve got. I’d like to see developers scrap these constant installments completely and remake a one off Harry Potter game. Maybe one that tells the whole story, obviously in a very watered down fashion. One good game is better than seven clones of the same mediocre game. -

Dark Void is probably going to go down as one of the most disappointing titles of the year, after all of the expectation and hype. With a bit more time spent polishing and developing key elements and its story this could have become a “classic” as the potential is their for all to see, however in its current form it will sadly slip into the void of mediocrity that has claimed so many third person shooter in the past. -

Guitar Hero Van Halen may not feature the greatest selection of tracks that will appeal to general fans of the franchise. The heart of a point and click adventure is its puzzles and Black Mirror does this badly forcing players to go backwards and forwards in seemingly pointless treks and it all adds up to a feeling that you are simply playing a role in a very boring movie, you don’t control your character, just guide him through the motions. -

Worms: Battle Islands brings the classic Worms experience to the Nintendo platform and introduces a range of features that while not initially useful do enhance the playing experience when played with friends.
