The long awaited return of SOCOM in the next-gen is a big disappointment: the typical elements of the series, like the realism or the customization of weapons and equipment, are still there, but the many technical flaws make Confrontation a title only for hardcore fans. Bad control system, the occasional lag and the broken statistics are unforgivable defects, especially for a multiplayer only game. Until Sony releases a patch to fix the many issues, SOCOM: Confrontation will remain a game only for the most hardcore fans.

After the first enjoyable DLC, Gearbox tries a new way to entertain the growing public of its interesting shooter. The horde idea is old enough, but it still works and provides a compelling experience, enhanced by some nice small ideas, like random rules. Sadly there's no real reward, and reward is everything Borderland's about; allthough sometimes fun to play, this neverending massacre betrays the spirit of the original game.

The years go by, and unfortunately The King of Fighters brings them really bad. Certainly the developers have not focused on quantity to entice the user, but even then the quality seems so bland. The graphics, which, if although renovated, it has become obsolete, goes hand in hand with a longevity virtually nonexistent, if the multiplayer could salvage something, everything is thwarted by an unstable Netcode. A very short length, balanced by a level of difficulty at times frustrating, it may not attract long-time players and even the less experienced. The idea of the upgrades is interesting and actually extends the gaming experience, but there are only five worlds. The return of Master Higgins is therefore a fun title that, despite the limitations mentioned, it is very suitable for those who appreciated the first titles in the series.
