The story is very cool and definitely is a reason to keep playing the game, but could have been fleshed out a little more. -

Those looking for a deep and involving story to go hand in hand with the intense action will be disappointed, but for people who enjoy shooting the crap out of everything and will enjoy doing so often, Black is the game you'll need. -

Critic Score 81
Sure it has a few faults like a lousy fighting mechanic and not being all that challenging, but it more than makes up for that by delivering an engaging story that not a lot of other games can match. -

Critic Score 80
While there is a certain level of frustration to be had with the gameplay, this tale is worth the twenty hour journey. The amount of humor it has and the ability to be nice or mean adds some replay to the game, enough that it holds its own compared to others in the genre. -

Critic Score 80
The graphics are solid, though nothing spectacular. Gameplay is very streamlined, and the controls are very easy to learn. -

Critic Score 80
The game’s story and visuals complement each other, and get across a genuinely emotion story, while the audio furthers it. -

In the end, the game is just more of the first: mindlessly slashing waves of AI-less monsters coming out at you to Satan’s music, with the extra touch of intensified seriousness and atmosphere. -

If you’ve been pining for something new with your strategy RPGs, look no further than Stella Deus. -

While Curse of Darkness may arguably be better than "Lament of Innocence," it still isn’t as good as the side-scrolling entries. There’s just something about the translation into the 3D environments that makes Castlevania lose its charm. -

It’s another addicting puzzle game for the PSP, but this isn’t quite as good as "Lumines" was. Had the two games been packaged together, they would have been arguably one of the best puzzle packages ever. -

Unfortunately, both the action/adventure sequences and the platforming/puzzle solving sequences are fairly basic and, therefore, rather easy. -

The unique design of the dance mat allows for some frenetic new dance moves to keep you and the 100+ songs occupied for a while. -

The original was so innovative that playing something just like it doesn’t carry that "been there, done that" feel most games have these days. -

What sets this game apart is of course, the mecha. While inside the trotmobile, the controls feel very much like operating a machine thanks to the use of both analog sticks needing to work in coordination to move around. -

As a licensed game, it’s fantastic. It does justice to the source material in both the movie and comic strip, while providing a good game on top of it. -

Dead Rising was the closest to a perfect original game that has been made in quite some time. It's unfortunate that the game was weighed down by bad decisions and poor planning. -

Other than missing out on the presence of Paula Abdul, Konami made great use of the American Idol license by implementing a well executed career mode. -

If you’re looking for a unique RPG experience that graphical harks back to RPGs of the SNES or early PS1 era, this is your game. -

Any RPG fan owes it to themselves to check it out for its strong story and offbeat, but fun, gameplay. -

Thankfully, we all know it is not the graphics and sound that makes a game. The actual gameplay for RGA is some of the best I have experienced of the dozens of racers that are available for the GBA. -

An absolutely beautiful game with great artwork, graphics and sound. If given a bit more time SSS could have been one of the GBA's premiere RPGs with its strong story and wonderful production. -

Incorporates elements of several different games to create a masterpiece. Other than the issue of the mediocre difficulty level, this game bundles up for assured fun for any Xbox owner looking for a fright. -

I'm also surprised at how well the audio came out here. The music, in particular, does a fantastic job at getting across the overall vibe of the area you're in, and/or, the side you"re playing on. -

This game is still great overall. Story, sound and battle mechanics are still as nice as I remember them. -

The game also has several bugs, such as moving through cars, and the fact that you only suffer from car crashes by a temporary drop in speed before accelerating. In this sense, the game feels like it was rushed. -

While I had a lot of fun with Stranglehold, this is one of those games you can easily get your money’s worth in a rental. -

Some of the vehicles feel incredibly loose, and that’s something that should be fixed in the first entry of a game, and shouldn’t even be a fleeting memory by the fourth. -

When it comes down to it, if you want to play with all the official teams and have a more energetic presentation of soccer, go with FIFA ‘07, but if you want a more in-depth and natural representation of the sport known as football everywhere except North America, then you can’t go wrong with Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007. -
