30 Rock stars the fantastic Tina Fey as Liz Lemon, the head writer of a fictional live variety programme called The Girlie Show, as she tries to manage her out of control actors while still making time for some sort of personal life.

As with any sit-com 30 Rock takes a few episodes to really get going as we start to understand the personalities of the cast. Each of the characters have their moments but it is the central relationship between Liz Lemon and company executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) that really sets the show apart from other comedies. Baldwin’s straight faced delivery is priceless and his great on-screen chemistry with Fey makes for one of TVs all time great comedy double acts, season two episode MILF island possibly being the pinnacle.

Those that prefer the more straightforward sit-com may not get the show but for those that do it is comedy of the highest order.

The second season of "30 Rock" was, unfortunately, too short. It is, as impossible as it sounds, as good as the first one, if not even better. Every episode offered something new - refreshing stories, great acting and just silly situations that can make one happy. There were some more dramatic and 'real' stories, too, which were nice to follow and they gave more credibility to the show,The second season of "30 Rock" was, unfortunately, too short. Every episode offered something new - refreshing stories, great acting and just silly situations that can make one happy. There were some more dramatic and 'real' stories, too, which were nice to follow and they gave more credibility to the show, especially with character development. Tina Fey was simply amazing in this season, and has definitely deserved all the praise she has been getting! Excellent season of one of the best shows in a long, long time! Expand

The only complaint I had about the show's second season was that there was just not enough of it because of the writers' strike. "Sandwich Day" proved Tina Fey is a real actress, "Episode 210" showed how hilarious Jack McBrayer is as Kenneth the Page, and this was the season of Ludachristmas--a party my friends and I now throw every year.
