  • Summary: On a podcast, Karl Pilkington admitted that he doesn't see the fuss about the Seven Wonders of the World, despite never going to see even one of them. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant respond by sending him around the world to experience the Wonders for himself. An Idiot Abroad, filmed in high definition, is the documentary travelogue series that covers Pilkington's journey as he visits landmarks like the Great Wall of China and the Great Pyramids of Egypt. Just as before, Karl Pilkington proves hes up there with the comedy legends, because, perhaps completely unintentional, this holiday from hell owes most of its laugh to the "Head like a **** orange" Karl Pilkington. I loved all of the places he went to and Ricky and Steve's ways of making them horrible. After all, it takes a lot to make someone hate Australia! Expand

Very fresh, entertaining, funny & delightful. Expressive with a humanistic insightfulness as well. If given the chance this quirky little program should do well. It is a pleasure on many levels, it has many shades and is light hearted which is nice for a change, yet it has moments of genuine sincerity. Much enjoyed! Hope everyone gives it a chance. Expand

More delightful tv from the legend that is Karl Pilkington! The first series was just utterly hilarious so I was eager for a second series of Karl travelling round the world. And this time around it's just as funny as the first. Given a list of things to do before you die, Karl gets to choose the activities he himself wants to do however Ricky Gervais likes to add a few twists to them. It's more of the same but you never tire of Karl Pilkington's honesty, inisghts and integrity, it's just dynamite tv. Another fantasticly funny, immensly enjoyable and extremely entertaining gem. Karl Pilkington. Legend! Expand

Challenged to participate in some of the ‘100 things to do before you die’ Karl Pilkington is once again sent off around the world by long-term pals Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

While The Bucket List may not have the original feel of the first season Karl’s strange view of the world and unique observations (anyone that has followed him from his XFm days will know it is no act!) still never fail to provide fantastic entertainment.

Very funny, Karl Pilkington is just an amazing naturally funny person, it was a great idea to sent him abroad, this is event funner if you have listened to the old xfm shows and the podcasts just fyi. Collapse
