When a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they knew and trusted, cracks appear on the surface of a supposedly idyllic community.

Kate's funeral is first, then on to the three girls. Tom gives the eulogy, but there is no mention of Kate. Kate has been cut out of all the photos with her daughters. People start to question it.

Steve is suspended for interfering with a witness Dylan and he beats him up for the suspension. He made him say that he saw Tom in the woods, but it was Kate. Kate had told Steve that if she died it would be by Tom's hand.
