Well-acted, as usual, but I was bored and confused and skeptical all season about the inclusion of certain subplots, and the writers' ability to pull them together in a meaningful way. I was right to have doubts. The acting was strong as always, but this season otherwise was a long, boring, anti-climactic mess.

I continue to be mystified by this show's real appeal. It's always seemed like a one-trick pony to me, and it's one I don't enjoy riding. Well done, nicely scripted, fine enough acting. But it doesn't thrill me. Sorry!

It's...ok, but it's not worth a lot of views. Some epiosdes were good, but I rather dislike the writing, but the cast is pretty darn good. They should be drafted to other shows like 24 and Grey's anatomy.

  1. Like last season, the plots are thick and quick-flying. (Also like last season, the abstruseness can sometimes feel showy.)
  2. What makes Deadwood so fascinating is not the action we put up with; it’s the language we listen to.

    A gorgeously living thing.
